Kiewietjie Cottage

Kiewietjie Cottage is located in the beautiful seaside village of Sedgefield and offers guests three comfortably furnished self-catering units within walking distance of the lake.Each unit has his own private entrance and can accommodate between three and six people. The kitchens are equipped with microwaves, 2 plate gas stove, toasters and kettles. Fridge-freezers are available in the all the units. There is a TV with DStv access in each unit. Two of the units have two bedrooms with a double bed in one room and two single beds in the second room. A sleeper couch is available for an extra person. The bathroom consists of a bath and a shower. The Bachelor Unit offers a double, a single bed and a bathroom with a shower only. Each unit has a private braai area on the patio, which overlooks Sedgefield Lake and the Outeniqua Mountains. Parking is available in a garage or covered carport.Sedgefield borders the Goukamma Nature Reserve and the Wilderness National Park, offering guests ample opportunity for birdwatching and walks through indigenous fauna and flora. Guests can also do bass fishing at Groenvlei Lake or go swimming and fishing at the Swartvlei Lake.

"A very spacious two bedroom flat with a kitchen, lounge, passage and separate toilet. The bathroom is a bit small though, with little space to move around. Nice private area to sit outside. Lock up garage, safety gate at front entrance of flat and burglar guards on windows. Lots of cupboards. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Judy was very friendly and caring and also offered to clean the flat for us. We will definitely recommend it to anyone. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you."

"A very pleasant little cottage.<br/>Well situated, within walking distance of both the beach and lagoon (15 minutes) and the shops (30 minutes).<br/>Lovely north-facing terrace, overlooking the town and lagoon.<br/>Nicely furnished, with all necessary kitchen equipment, and very comfortable and private.<br/>Friendly proprietor.<br/>I have rated it 4 stars rather than 5, only because it might not fit the "Luxury" class - no glass and marble en-suite bathrooms etc.<br/>But for modest accomodation it would be difficult to beat."

"Location is amazing - with views over the sea and mountains to the rear and side. The terraced garden is lovely too. The accommodation is beautifully presented in a very homely and comfortable way. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We had planned to pass through but providing you have a car Sedgefield is a great base for so many activities. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely property. We ended up staying 8 nights and were reluctant to move on."

"Spent a lovely time at Kiewietjie Cottage. Sadly the weather was rainy and cold but that didn't matter as the Cottage was warm and cosy. I will definitely book in when I'm in the area again."
