The Other Corner
The Other Corner offers self-catering cottages in the beautiful seaside Village of Sedgefield and is 300 m from the lagoon. The Other Corner is are fully equipped for self-catering. Enjoy lovely sea and beach views from the balcony.
The Other Corner has two and a half bedrooms furnished with queen-size beds, a bunk bed and single beds with two shared bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave and toaster, as well as a Weber braai. The comfortable lounge is equipped with TVs with access to local channels and there is Wi-Fi Internet access. The Other Corner also has a cosy fireplace. The unit has a private entrance to give visitors some privacy and has a garage for one car. Guests have private access to the lagoon which is safe for swimming and just relaxing in the sun.
Sedgefield borders the Goukamma Nature Reserve and the Wilderness National Park, leaving the visitor spoilt for choice when it comes to birdwatching and walks through indigenous fauna and flora. Groenvlei Lake, which forms part of the Goukamma Nature Reserve, is the only fresh water lake in the district and it lies to the east of Sedgefield. It is popular for its bass fishing and for the more adventurous there is paragliding which is also popular in the area.

31 December 2021"For years we have been coming to Sedgies and often wondered what it would be like to stay in a place right over the lagoon, watching the tides come & go, the morning mists, and the beautiful sunsets. Well, this year Dec 2021 we got all that and more! The location couldn't be better. With your own path down to the water's edge, moor your canoe, or use the owners and go paddling up or downstream or across to the quietest beach for a picnic. We were a family of 3 but the unit could sleep 6. Everything you need is there. A weber on the deck too, a gas stovetop, electric oven, microwave, decent sized fridge. We couldn't want for anything. The property has 2-holiday homes and a fully fitted laundry at the back for longer stays. Plus a very friendly Lab called Gabby.
