Perissa No 8 at Santorini

This is a beautiful Mediterranean-style penthouse situated in a private estate, in Shakas Rock. It is set among the Perissa Village overlooking Santorini's semi-private beach.

This is a self-catering apartment with air-conditioning and consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms of which the main is en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and laundry facilities, and an open-plan living area with a TV and full DSTV.

The lounge area and the main bedroom opens up onto a large patio with beautiful coastal views. All linen is provided, but please bring your own bath- and beach towels. The apartment is serviced daily with the exception of Sundays and public holidays.

Features also include barbecue facilities, a lock-up garage, and 6 swimming pools in the estate will keep guests entertained. Take a 50-metre walk to the beach or enjoy a leisurely stroll to Thompson's Bay, with lifeguards and the infamous Charlie's Olympic-size tidal pool.

"The unit is in a prime position, with a wonderful view. The unit is very spacious and neat with enough space for 6 persons. The unit is situated in a secure complex and also has a lock-up garage which is an added advantage. It is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier and DStv which makes for exceptional comfort and ease when staying there. I would not recommend the unit for the elderly or disable persons because there are a lot of stairs to climb before reaching the unit. However, the unit and its view is worth every step!"

"Really enjoyed our stay here, it is in the perfect location, with sea views all round. Unit was neat and tidy. It had everything we needed and the kids had a great time. It is one of the upper most units, so very private. Will definitely go back."

"We loved our stay at 8 Perissa. The decor is upmarket to suit the Penthouse and the view is totally amazing. Santorini is so central to everything including private, and not so private beaches (Thomson's bay with the tidal pool is just the best!) Yes the stairs are tough so pack light :) We will be back!!!"

"I cannot recommend this condo to a friend. Although it has a lovely view, we found the air conditioning to be problematic in that it was very noisy and not very cold. The furniture needs to be cleaned and was not very comfortable. It did not measure up to other similar condos. Others have found this to be a lovely unit and I am happy for them. We did not and think you should have the right to hear our opinion. Our previous review disappeared."

"For the same or less money I have stayed in much nicer condos/homes. Yes it has a beautiful views but if you also want an air conditioner that works and does not keep you awake nights with its thumping motor, furniture that's comfortable (and clean), maybe even just one chair at the pool you could sit in & read a book.....keep looking. This is an old, tired condo with limited effort being given to making it nice. To get to a beach you either drive or climb the mountain. I cannot recommend it."

"<p>My wife and two daughters, after going through a tough year opted for a passive vacation to the beach and we chose No 8 Perissa, as not only did it have great reviews, the pictures of the views and accommodation were stunning.</p><p>Well, it lived up to the reviews and the pictures. We had a serene, quiet, relaxing week, with the most stunning views. The position of the apartment was such that you have the best view and vantage point, but 4 flight of stairs as a trade off.</p><p>The apartment was serviced by very efficient, well mannered and friendly staff.</p><p>The other impressive plus is that not only is the apartment sandwiched between two of the best beaches in Ballito, it has it own Private Beach, with plenty of Coves to explore, but in the words of my teenage daughters, it had the best Props for Selfies :)</p><p>Great place, Would definitely be happy to spend another vacation at No 8 Perissa.</p><p>Jamie and Karen were wonderful and very accommodating.</p>"

"Lovely spacious light filledapartment with a magnificent patio and stunning sea views. All the inclines and steps could prove to be a slight problem for unfit guests. The apartment is needing a little maintenance though,the couches were a little tired and grubbyand the main bathroom needs an upgrade but this didn't detract from our stay. We loved our holiday here"
