Welcome to the peace and tranquility of our little piece of Paradise.
Our charming loft accommodation is comfortable, spacious and cool, and is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, on a hillside overlooking False Bay, in the famous picturesque village of Simons Town. It has its own private entrance and breath-taking panoramic views over the ocean, with Long Beach on one side and False Bay Yacht Club with the historic naval harbour on the other.
Harbour House is situated in the much sought-after old part of Simons Town. Unlike most accommodation in the area, it is within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants, fascinating museums, the famous penguin colony at Boulders and the train station to Cape Town. There are two beautiful sandy beaches just minutes away, and from September to November you may be fortunate enough to see whales from the apartment. Local activities include sailing, fishing, golf, diving and mountain walking. It is also possible to rent kayaks and bicycles in the village.
This self-catering apartment has a comfortably furnished living area with a dining table and chairs, upholstered sofa and armchairs and DSTV television. It also has two single divan beds should they be needed. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with stove, micro-wave, refrigerator and washing machine. The large bedroom has a queen-sized bed and outstanding sea views. The well-appointed bathroom has both a bath and shower. Outside there is a small terrace with braai facilities where one can enjoy breakfast and watch the sun rise over beautiful False Bay. You have the use of a large lawned garden and can relax in the shade of the olive trees on hot days.

26 March 2018"Quiet and secluded self-catering loft apartment. Parking is on the grass verge, outside the establishment. Access to the apartment is via several steps and a steep slope. Not for the infirm or heavily laden. Appreciated the milk, tea, coffee, butter, English muffins and selection of jams provided as a starter pack. Lovely flower arrangement in the living room. Ros provided just the right degree of attentiveness. Much appreciated."

Refreshments of a high quality were available. The apartment was centrally located and the hosts suggested the best venues for meals. The apartment and the hosts met all our expectations.Thank you for a wonderful three days."

15 August 2011"Such a comfortable, serene and homely accommodation venue. Idyllic setting overlooking the Mediterranean-style Simon's Town harbour and False Bay coastline. We even joked with the friendly owners that we'd like to buy the space. An attic apartment set up in a way that you're hardly aware of the owners occupying the main house just below. Really good bank for your buck!"

The pics on website is exactly what it looks like - which is very nice ( usually pics better than actual, but not the case here). Harbour House definitely met our expectations. Ros also thought of all the little things that added to the comfort e.g. hairdryer, and "starter goodies" in the fridge. We will definitely recommend Harbour House - and stay there again! 05 March 2008"We visited South Africa 2 years ago and visited Simon's Town ( ST ) and felt it would be a good base from which to visit Cape Town, Cape Point etc. It far exceeded our expectations both as a town and in the cottage. There is a frequent and safe one hour train journey to the centre of CT at a return fare of less than 2.00, ST has a number of excellent shops, good fish restaurants and good parking. It is central to a number of small coastal towns and has Cape of Good Hope and the Penguin colony just down the road.The cottage was a real delight. Well stocked, light and airy with superb views over the most interesting naval dockyard and sea, Paul and Ross were fantastic hosts and we are in the process of booking for next year, A really memorable 7 day stay, The location makes it easy to walk into town (5 minutes) and we particularly enjoyed the food and atmosphere in Salty Seadog restaurant in the harbour"
