Letsatsi Private Game Reserve is located in the Free State. The area is secluded and the lodge is designed in such a way that it takes in all the natural beauty of the outdoors.
The lodge has different cabin types to suit guests needs. Each wooden cabin has a private bathroom and patio with a unique view of the surrounding bush. The lodge is made of natural stone with thatched roofs to keep it in line with its natural surroundings. It has comfortable lounges, a bar area and a dining area for guests to enjoy. The public areas open onto a wooden sun deck with a view of the African Savannas and the large swimming pool. During the colder months, there are fireplaces throughout the main lodge to keep guests warm and comfortable.
The bush camp offers more rustic accommodation for groups of up to 44 people. Thatch covers the Luxury Tents and they are each equipped with twin beds, wardrobes, electricity, tea and coffee-making facilities and electric blankets to ensure the ultimate in camping comfort.
The reserve offers day and night game drives, where guests can search for small game and an abundance of birds. Guests can partake in photographic safaris and get a better understanding of how to use their cameras while photographing game. For the adventurous guests, Letsatsi has mountain biking trails and guided walks.
"Die personeel het baie moeite gedoen om ons verblyf aangenaam en gerieflik te maak."
"The food was excellent, the chalet perfect. Complimentary water in chalet could be nice."
"Your dinner was lovely. Menu perhaps a little limited. The Risotto was outstanding."
"Enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back."
"Beautiful game lodge with plenty of chalets. Please note that all chalets do not have a view over the watering hole."
"Beautiful views, friendly staff, lovely accommodation and great food! Thank you so much"
"Bath was not 100% clean, other than that we had a wonderful timey and would love to return for a longer stay!"
"Picked as an overnight stop on a journey from Durban to Cape Town. The main lodge is exquisite with beautiful decor and artwork. We stayed in a 6 sleeper 3 bedroom all en suite chalet. On large bedroom with bathroom & shower downstairs and 2 smaller bedrooms - one also downstairs (shower & loo just outside) and 3rd bedroom upstairs - not a good idea for tall people!! There is a kitchen/dining room/lounge area open plan with microwave & small counter top cooker. Outside on the raised verandah there is a gas braai and camping type chairs. Could have been cleaner but you are in a game reserve so things do get dusty. Restaurant not that great. Majority of food on menu they did not have & what they did have was mediocre. No desserts at all apart from some ice cream. Self catering would be better option. Staff are friendly.

Biggest disappointment which quite honestly disgusted me - is that Letsatsi charged US for the commission taken from Safarinow.com and when I booked I thought we were getting breakfast included as well (this could be an error on my part). So my original deposit of just over R1300 came down to R900 and some change plus an extra R500 for breakfast. When I expressed by dismay at being charged for the commission I was met with apathy so I'm afraid it left a rather bitter taste in my mouth. So beware when you think of booking, your original quote will end up with an extra R1000 odd - which I have NEVER come across when booking through Safarinow.com"
"Had an awesome stay. Will definately visit again."
"The main lodge is lovely but the website is misleading - the kitchenette only has a fridge - no crockery or cutlery, not even a kettle or microwave. One room was dirty and covered in spiders and cobwebs...."
"We really enjoyed our stay at Letsatsi! Awesome place and awesome people! We have never experienced such silence in the bush. very peaceful"
"Positives:- Friendly staff- Excellent view from Chalets- Clean- Good food and nice bush setting for dinnerNegatives:- Pool is not pristine and has algae on the bottom and sides. Although it is bluish and you can swim in it- Main lodge burned down and no communication from venue of that. Would have liked to know before hand. They did try and work around it but is not 100%- Due to lodge burning no drinks at pool and had to go to different venue for dinner. The only drinks available was warm castle lite.- No ceiling fan in chalet and it was very hot- Parking far away from chalet- Only ricoffee sachets available in chalet. For a 4 star lodge I think they can do better.Although there was no one item that was negatively affected our stay except perhaps the lack of communication about the lodge burning down there was a lot of little things that added up."
"Stunning venue, could have stayed longer."
"We had a wonderful stay at Letsatsi. It's in a picture-perfect Free State setting, with lovely luxurious chalets, all with decks overlooking a breathtaking view. The staff and management were great, really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!"
"Enjoyed the silence, the cycling among the game, the style of the place and the excellent food. Breakfast was very good."
