Pula House

Pula House is a century-old Victorian Karoo guest house in the Free State Province, personally run by the owners with an enviable reputation for quality of service, accommodation and friendliness.

Pula House stands in the very heart of South Africa, off the beaten tourist track on the scenic N6 to the Sunshine Coast of the Eastern Cape. The countryside en route is a pleasure to travel through and the guest house an even greater pleasure to arrive at.

A delightful accommodation in a superb garden setting, Pula House is an ideal overnight stop if you are touring the country or heading to Lesotho and Malealea Lodge.

The house serves as an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding splendid mountains, the Gariep Lake, local game reserves and ancient rock art. Guests will participate in a host of local outdoor activities including walking, birdwatching, golf, horse riding, tennis and bowls.

Here one can experience a real, rough and unspoilt Africa, where wide open spaces, vast horizons and a sense of peace and tranquility is the norm.

"Situated in a nice town. We experienced personal reception, a fancy room, a lovely garden, friendly dogs, and an organized and super dinner. In the morning a good breakfast was enjoyed. Good value for money and we enjoyed our stay at Pula House. Thank you.<br/>"

"The accommodation was satisfactory. It is more the age and quaintness of the house which appeals. It is tastefully decorated and the bedding is good. <br/><br/>A new owner had taken over only a few months prior to us being there, so I think there was a lot to be learnt about the business. <br/>The breakfast was tasteful, possibly not as plentiful as we were accustomed to (from a variation point of view).<br/>"
