Olwandle Suite Hotel

Being a listed building of Durban, Olwandle Suite Hotel is steeped in history. It was first built in 1920 as a residential house, 18 years later this house was converted into 45 bedroom apartments in 1938 and 69 years thereafter in 2007, the apartments were converted into a hotel. The age of the building is evidenced by the oregon pine floors.

The hotel offers six Family Rooms each consisting of two rooms with one entrance and one bathroom, and 38 Double Rooms with single or double beds. All the suites are spacious with en-suite bedrooms, which enjoy the full view of the Durban International Convention Centre which is literally at our doorstep.

Added to that, the beachfront is only 800 m away with uShaka Marine Theme Park being less than 5 minutes away and the new 2010 Soccer World Cup Stadium close by. We truly do offer convenience and adaptability to holidaymakers and the travelling business person.

You need not drive unless you want to as the hotel is on the route for People Mover, which is a bus transport system designed for tourists in Durban; you pay one fee for the whole day. With the advantage of being in South Africas biggest playground, there are endless entertainment facilities for holidaymakers in and around the city centre. "I have enjoyed staying at your prestigious hotel despite the first service at the resturant during breakfast. U was ignored for a period of ten minutes without having being addressed. So on my way out, it was then that i was told to wait until 8am as there are some food that are out of stock. Beside this, everything was perfect. The staff there was friendly and welcoming. Keep it up anf sort that issue of communication"
