Lalapalm Cottage

Lalapalm Cottage is a fully equipped unit situated in Southport, a beautiful seaside village on the Hibiscus Coast. Southport is a secluded beach with many shady areas and it is ideal for family holidays.

The cottage consists of two bedrooms, one full bathroom and one en-suite bathroom as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is a lounge area with DStv if you require premium please bring your own decoder and card, a patio with braai facilities and a deck overlooking the ocean. Secure under-cover parking is available and there is an alarm system on the property. Well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement only.

The cottage is 8 km away from shops, restaurants and other entertainment areas in Port Shepstone. There are many activities on offer in the town and at least ten golf courses within a 50 km radius of Southport, as well as nature reserves. Hiking trails and snorkelling sites are abound, with some of the best fishing spots very close by.

"We had a superb stay at lallapalm cottage. We were 4 grown ups and 2 children with the doggies. There was enough space for everyone. The cottage was perfect for our family break away and everything we needed was there. The cottage was neat and tidy. There was one day where the municipality water supply was interrupted but Barbara ensured that we have access to water with a big JOJO tank installed on the property where we could get water from. We had a wonderful stay and were very satisfied with our stay at lalapalm. The beach is walking distance which is also perfect for strolls with the doggies. "Location vs cleanliness"

"The setup of the cottage was perfect, in the sense that it is spacious for 2 people, there is a look out deck, 2 bathrooms and 2 cars can park in the yard. The dogs was also safe inside and had a small grass area for a bit of playtime.However, the cleanliness left me in utter disappointment. Understood that the area had no water for a period of time (which we have not been made aware of - arriving and we got told there is no water). And when the water eventually did come on, there was issues with the drainage. I would've returned to this place in a heartbeat, considering the location, walking distance from the beach , which is not so busy and my dogs were allowed on the beach. But I can unfortunately not go back to a place, where cleanliness is last on the owner's priority list."
