  "We found our room disappointing. View out of the window onto grey concrete brick wall 2 m away. Entrance door had to be kicked to open. No chairs in the room and nothing to put down your travel bag. TV should be donated to a museum. Internet was not working. Safe deposit box lying loose on the cupboard floor. Cupboard without shelve and coat hangers. No shelve in bathroom. Chair outside the room with filthy cushions ... I would not stay here again"

  "Old Mill Lodge is one of my favourite overnight stops in Springbok because of it's tranquil setting against the the granite slopes. There is access directly to the mountain and a very short walk offers beautiful sunset views. The grounds are very shady and it is an oasis on a hot summer's day. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable and my only complaint is that the beds in our room were very hard. Breakfast was very satisfactory."

  "The place was fantastic, great service and clean. The price was a rip off due to SAFARINOW adding 20% + VAT for themselves. Never again with SAFARI and I bet you will not publish this review - lets see."

  "Unfortunately we found the place not cleaned.Yes, clean linen but overall not clean -- dirty cups, spoons and dustbin and a few insects here and there.I wish I could give a nicer review. Perhaps it was because we stayed over on the Sunday after Christmas and it could be that staff were not available. But if you run an establishment your service levels need to be constant, irrespective of public holidays."

  "We stopped in Springbok to take a rest from the long roads - and the Old Mill Lodge proved to be a perfect place for doing this. The room was spacious and very quiet, the garden was beautiful, and the little walk up the hill right behind the house offered a nice view over town. The breakfast room is also very cosy and the breakfast itself a delight. Owners and staff are extremely friendly. Oh, and watch out for the dog - happiest welcoming committee ever."

  "The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The problem in our room was the curtains that were too thin to cut out the spot light from the neighbour, so sleep was difficult and despite our complaint, the neighbour kept his light on. Unlikely to return."

  "Stephen was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and my wife and I were very satisfied with the arrangements. The short climb up the rock face behind Old Mill was worth the effort and the view was great. It may be helpful if evening meals were provided."
