  "First of all, the pictures on the website is very misleading andit should be illegal for people to usepictures portraying such untruths.The pool is not sparkling or blue, in fact it had a green tinge of algae and was not suitable to swim in. When we arrived at the family unit we bookedthe one bedroom had no lights working except forone of the bed lamps. The following day we reported it to the front desk reception where the complaint was met with a blank stare and no indication that it would be fixed. We returned and as expected it was not fixed. Our neighbours were also very noisy playing music loudly from the boot of their car for the entire lodge! This was unacceptable as we went there to enjoy peace and tranquillity. We did not have a problem with music although we did expect that people would play it for themselves and not for everyone staying there. On the up side the breakfast was enjoyable and the staff in the kitchen were friendly.Needless to say we willdefinitely not be backnor will we recommend the lodge."

  "Situated on the main road so very close to all the restaurants. The lodge has all the usual features all kept clean and tidy. Very nice included breakfast. Free WiFi but a little weak. <br />"

  "The room had a very heavy smell of cigarettes and the bathroom a bad smells of maybe mold. When we were about to take a bath the tap to the hot water broke, fortunately there were no hot water, but we got an flooding in our room. The ac was working good but extremely loud. Breakfast was good, and staff was helpful. Laundry service fast and cheap."

  "The place is average, with all your basics. Their breakfast was amazing. Very friendly staff, & i was offered a brand new cot for my 7 month old baby which was truly appreciated. However there was no door separating the bathroom from the room, just a shower curtain which i think wasn't right. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

  "The place was dirty,everything was falling apart!!We found a stranger in our room with all our belongings,they had a mix up and send the person to our room(shocking). The photo on the Internet was taken 20 years ago.Braaiplek very dirty ect.Won't see me again."

  "Ac unit was not working.It was reported but never repaired. There was a stinking smell coming from drain pipes against out side walls entrance, door had to be kept close all the time to keep the smell out of the room. Ceiling fan had to be used only problem is one could not switch the light off seperately,function on remote was not working."

  "We only sleeped one night in Jo-A-Lize Lodge. I never changed a hotel before, but this place was really bad. I was in Jo-A-Lize Lodge in 2005 and it was a nice stay. Positive: - friendly cleaning staff - positon in St. Lucia - 24h check in Negative - everything looks old and not inspected since years - the toilet was not clean, the toilet brush was brown - the shower was completly brown at the seperation - on the pillow was a little bit blood - the blanket was blurry - die fridge has a rosty door - the mircowave was dirty - the pool was dirty In the morning we changed the room. The new room was a little bit better. But the breakfast gives us the rest. All jam was over the best before date. The oldest one was from 2010. So we checked out. We wanted to stay for 4 nights. The next place Sunset Lodge was at the same price level and much better."

  "My parents liked their stay at Jo-A-Lize very much, but do have a few complaints. The TV was not working properly, the cord of the kettle looked damaged, the ventilator in the shower needs attention, and they had to wait very long time to book in because there was nobody at reception. Their breakfast was delicious and the dining room looked very beautiful and interesting."

The garden is lush. The lodge is located on the main street but the rooms are set back from the street and are very private. Great value for money. We loved it and will stay again."

The garden is lush. The lodge is located on the main street but the rooms are set back from the street and our very private and distant from the street noise. It is great value-for-money. We loved it and will stay again."
