  • "Charming Lodge"

    15 October 2014

"My wife and I had a very enjoyable time at the Lake St Lucia Lodge. We had originally intended to spend one night but we were able to extend our stay another night. Andre, the owner, was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed observing the two Hornbills that roosted by our rondavel and relaxing in the lush setting. If we ever return to St Lucia we would hope to stay there again."

"The accommodation was basic, but adequate and we had everything we needed for our one week stay. The cottages are serviced, which was most welcome. We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden, watching the birds, mongoose, monkeys etc. Enjoyed hearing the bushbabies at night. <br>Andre and Thea are very friendly hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Andre is passionate about nature and fishing, and we enjoyed chatting to him. Thank you for our pleasant stay."

  • "Beautiful place to stay"

    28 July 2014

"We loved staying here! The owner is really welcoming and gave us loads of good advice about things to do in the area. The rondavel we stayed in was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. And the location is great as it's quiet and tucked a little away from the main high street. Would highly recommend staying here."

  • "Lovely Stay"

    17 June 2014

"We stayed in the 2 sleeper rondavel. We found the unit was well equipped, with all we needed. It had a spacious shower and 2 towels were provided which was useful. The 2 twin beds slept comfortably for us as a couple and the extra blankets were appreciated for additional warmth. With a sturdy ceiling fan and additional standing fan there was great air circulation.Quaint braai area with lovely sturdy braai and beautiful garden really made for a delightful stay. The owners were very helpful & friendly - going the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay, including gifts of beautiful avos from their private garden's tree, on our departure!Lake St Lucia Lodge was just far away enough from the main town to ensure a peaceful stay, with resident hippos visiting the property. The lodge was a short walks distance to restaurants if you felt like walking. Overall, a great place to stay!"

  • "St Lucia hidaway"

    21 March 2014

"If, like us, you are used to vanning or camping, then the accommodation is very good indeed. Plenty of room, clean and well looked after. The wonderful lady who cleaned and did all the housework was a real treasure. The owners were so friendly and helpful, giving us lots of advice about where to visit as well as help with identifying the local animal and plant life. There can not be too many places where 3 hippos wander past your lodge most evenings! We had a great time and would recommend Lake St Lucia Lodge to anyone who values a smaller self contained unit."
