Lidiko Lodge - St Lucia

Lidiko Lodge is a well-appointed 4 Star lodge that is centrally situated in the village of St Lucia, in the heart of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park (previously known as the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park) which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The main building of the lodge is one of the original buildings erected in St Lucia and it oozes an Old World Zululand charm. It houses the reception area, drawing room, a small library for guests and a dining deck where a scrumptious continental and English breakfast is served.

Accommodation is offered in 16 well-appointed fully airconditioned garden rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Each room is fitted with crisp linen, fluffy towels, a flat screen TV, complimentary coffee and tea, a wall safe, hairdryer as well as a bar fridge.

"The lodge is very well located in central St Lucia.Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.Very friendly helpful staff. At the time we were there; there was a water shortage and at some point none at all. It was so much appreciated that the owner bought water for us to have nice showers. We will absolutely recommend this lodge and if at all possible we will return when visiting that area."

"Lidiko Lodge was a beautiful spot and very conveniently located close to town. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. The grounds, the pool and the breakfast were lovely. We stayed in the cottage which is across the street from the actual lodge. It was quite expensive and we were a bit disappointed in this aspect of our visit. I think the rooms in the lodge itself are much nicer than the cottage."

"Lidiko Lodge is a perfect place to stay, restful, quiet, tranquil, a lodge that has an almost bygone era feel about it. Friendly owners and staff, beautiful gardens and rooms and a sumptuous buffet breakfast every day, plus delicious luncheons and afternoon teas, what more does a person want! Plus there's the added bonus of the stunning St Lucia Wetlands and the nearby game reserves. Needless to say we had a wonderful time and will be back again very soon. I can highly recommend Lidiko Lodge to anyone of any age."

"We spent three nights at Lidiko Lodge and wish that we could have stayed longer. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. They are well equipped with good beds, showers and baths. We enjoyed a great breakfast each day in view of the lovely gardens The owners, Dirk and Lyzette were very welcoming and most helpful in suggesting and arranging excursions. "

"We were not sure what to expect, having neither booked our own trip on the internet before, nor been anywhere near St Lucia, so we were a little apprehensive.However, the welcome that we received form Dirk and Lyzette and the help given to us in planning our all too short stay were fantastic and took away our worries - even when the power went off!Throughout our short stay, they did that little extra to make our stay more pleasant and should we return to the area, would not consider anywhere else."
