Rhino Lodge Game Farm

Rhino Lodge is situated next to the R50 on the main route to Standerton. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation on a spectacular 6000 hectare game farm. Self-catering accommodation is available in Sandstone Chalets and Wooden Cabins.

All the chalets are fully equipped with DStv, microwaves, stoves and fully equipped kitchens. The fireplaces are designed for dual purpose; outside as fireplaces and inside to warm the house. Guests need to bring their own firewood. All bedding is provided although guests need to bring their own towels.

The game farm offers the opportunity to view game and buck as well as numerous bird species. The large dam offers the opportunity for bass fishing; guests might even spot the hippos.

The property has a chapel ideal for weddings along with a function venue for conferences. Catering is also available on request. The main lounge and bar area is a gathering place for guests after an active day in the bush.

"Checking in was easy, we were met by the son of the owner who availed himself should we need anything. He also promised us a game drive which never happened. We booked a room with a Queen bed with a bath but we were given a room with a Double bed and a shower. There were spider webs also in the bathroom. Otherwise we loved the place, its quiet and away from everything - exactly what we were looking for. Oh, at midday on the 3rd we were told to leave although we were booked until the 4th, we refused. No explanation was given for being asked to leave, they just sent us the cleaning lady."
