Lynton Farm House

This is a charming old house situated on a working farm, about 27 km from Steynsburg on the R56. The surrounding areas are rich in old battlefields, dating back to the Anglo Boer War.

The farm house consists of three bedrooms, one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a coal stove, electric stove and a TV. There is a stoep.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Karoo where you can appreciate the great outdoors. There are some easy walking trails and mountain climbing for the more adventurous. Trail running and mountain biking is also popular here.

"Lynton Farm House provides a pure experience of life in the grand old Karoo. The past is carefully preserved in every feature of the house. The exception occurs exactly where you would want it to, with the addition of comfortable mod-cons in the bathroom, kitchen and electrical conveniences. John and Cilla are the perfect hosts with their warm and friendly welcome. They also went the extra mile for us, quite literally, as they returned (twice) from their home km down the road to bring us rusks and fresh farm milk. The surrounding golden landscape provides the opportunity for wonderfully endless walks. At Lynton Farm House you will experience the history of the Great Karoo, but with all the modern comforts the farmers of the past could only have dreamt of."
