  "Not the first time I used the establishment as I used it about 15 yrs ago. Same old furniture and curtains and the sleeping couch is old some chairs are broken. They need to look at renovating the place as you cant be having same furniture 15 yrs down the line. Wooden floor needs serious repairs as well as it has some dirty marks."

  "Very laid back atmosphere. Beacon Lodge is ideally located, but needs a total upgrade. The bedding and towels were clean at least and the apartment was clean. Furniture and equipment, very outdated and falling apart. Beacon Lodge will be a great place to stay, if revamped sooner rather than later."

  "Location-very good<br/>Accommodation-In terms of size (space) and what the units offer : Very good. Unfortunately it is shabby. The furniture run-down and in need of replacement, particularly the built-in units.<br/>In addition the place is noisy, smell of cigarette smoke everywhere. Parking tight. <br/>"

  "I could not believe that I travelled from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth to come and spend my holiday in a Pigsty. the flat was smelly and dirty, all the utensils and appliances was from the stone age, they were dirty and packed on. The bath was stained and chipped the soap dish was filthy. There were bed bugs and I had a rash on my feet because of it. I will never ever set my foot at your place again."

  "We were upgraded on arrival which was fantastic. Our apartment had a large spacious bedroom. It was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable. It would be great if there was a shower - maybe a consideration if they refurbish. Beacon Lodge is conveniently located as it set slightly back from the main road and suited us for our short stay. We were able to walk along the beach front which is stunning. It is good value for money."
