  • "Peaceful breakaway"

"We were welcomed by wonderful hosts and enjoyed the charm of the big old farm house we could occupy just for ourselves! Although old, it was neat and clean and equipped with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the indoor braai in the kitchen and the fact that their was no signal (no children stuck to their cell phones!). Because of a good rain season, the field was beautiful with lots of flowers (we went hiking)...and, of course, the stars were brighter than ever!"

  • "Birthday Weekend"

    27 June 2016

"<div>What a charming place to stay with a group of friends. Far away from the hustle and bustle of city living made this weekend get-away a true get-away. Our hosts Marguerite and Chrisjan were warm, caring, inviting and thoughtful, to the point of leaving a bowl of lovely oats crunchies on the kitchen table for us to enjoy. They also went the extra mile by helping one of our friends with first a flat tire, then jump starting their car when the cold night caused the battery to fail. Both these could have cause us a lot of distress, were it not for their unfailing and caring attitude. </div><div>I would definitely encourage anyone looking for accommodation near Sutherland to give this lovely place a chance. It may be a tad far out of Sutherland, but so worth while when you are there. </div>"

  • "We loved every minute!"

    02 May 2014

"Our stay on the farm was really wonderful. The little house was gorgeous and clean and full of heirlooms and interesting books. We loved walking on the koppies, the sounds of the sheep talking to each other and amazing night sky. The Jordaans were so incredibly hospitable, and helped us with everything we needed and then some. We were brought fresh bread and home-made jam and rusks for our morning coffee. Basically, it's amazing and anyone who would like an infusion of peace and tranquility should go. One thing to keep in mind; the farm is off a long dirt road. So one just needs to be mentally prepared for that. Can't wait to return one day!"

  • "Awesome farm experience"

"The hospitality and comfort we experienced was beyond our expectations. The surroundings, safety and freedom to explore was everything that a farm experience could offer. Will definitely be back to see the flowers in bloom."
