  "Just the two of us in a rather large old farmhouse. W could get accommodation in Fonteintjie so took the house called Fontein. It was comfortable and equipped with everything for self catering. The beds had nice winter sheets plus electric blankets and panel wall heaters. All though it's nearly mid summer, We dozed off under the stars while doing some celestial gazing, when we awoke at 02h00, it was very cold. So go prepared. Fortunately a cozy house awaited!. Juanita is so sweet and most informative and helpful. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend it for sure. Taking your mountain bike will enhance the time spent there."

  "Wonderful weekend spent at Fonteintjie on Middelfontein Farm. We did three hiking trails through the mountains on the farm. (Route map provided by Juanita) The cottage was comfortable, warm (fire place inside and outside) and the breakfasts at the Guest House in town were delicious. We were delighted with Juanita's enthusiasm and obvious passion for her little town and what it has to offer. We will be back"

  "We spent two very comfortable nights at Fonteintjie. Going into town for breakfast was a lovely treat. We did the longer walk on the farm, amid carpets of October-flowering 'kraaitulpe'- spectacular. Hostess Juanita went out of her way to give us information and even lent us her book on flowers of the area."

  "Fonteintjie cottage was fantastic - all the mod cons and yet in the most wonderful nature setting. Breakfast in town was scrumptious. And the stargazing at Sterland is a must, as is dinner at Riet se Plek - the best boerekos ever! Sutherland was the most memorable stay I've had in a long time. Hoping to go back for the snow."

  "Thank you Jurg - our stay at Middelfontein B&B was really fantastic! We enjoyed a fire on the stoep in the evening - and in the morning we were greeted by the sheep, and an owl! Growing up on a farm, I really appreciated the entire experience. And it was my mother-in-law's first time in Sutherland - which she loved. Friendly people, good food, great open sky.   "Ons het baie baie lekker gekuier, als was in plek - hoogte punt was die wonderlike dak in die hoof slaapkamer en het skoon vergeet om te slaap het heelnag na die melkweg en sterre gkyk. Alles baie baie netjies en die ontbyt was heerlik met die vriendelikste dames wat ons bedien het. Baie dankie wens ons kon langer bly maar ons kom weer."
