The modern building in the beautiful South African surroundings will pleasantly surprise you. We will offer a stay in a luxury environment with all the comfort you could wish. A high standard of service and sufficient privacy is offered. Bloomestate will be the ideal stopover halfway from Cape Town to the Garden route but it is also a comfortable base from which you can explore the area which has enough to offer to make it worthwhile to stay a night or two more.

There are two themes which inspired the decoration of the luxury seven rooms such as Four Seasons: These four modern and fashionably decorated rooms are each inspired on a different season. Each makes a clear colour-and-season statement: spring green, sun orange, nostalgic purplish pink and Nordic blue, and The Elements: Earth, Wind and Fire are the themes for the other three rooms. With chocolate brown, greyish blue or romantic red as their main color, they each have their own unique atmosphere.

All rooms have a comfortable sitting area with flat screen TV, DVD and are wireless LAN accessible. i-Pod music stations and bar facilities. Luxurious bathrooms with bath and a walk in shower. French doors open onto landscaped gardens with a tranquil dam, saltwater pool, outside jacuzzi and mountain views. Spacious guest lounge in the same blending design, terrace with views and a funky bar.

With a maximum of 14 guests privacy, attentive service and supreme comfort are assured. Wellness treatments available on request.

A stay of 2 nights or more is highly recommendable. The perfect hideaway to relax and unwind.

Breakfast will meet top hotel standards. Dinner can be arranged at several very good restaurants nearby. Some on walking distance. Small platters served in season.

"Calvin and Cher are easily the most welcoming, thoughtful and kind hosts I have encountered. They constantly exceeded our expectations and made sure we got the most out of our stay recommending activities, restaurants and places to visit.The room was comfortable and clean with wonderful touches (especially in winter!) of a heated towel rails and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. The common area was well-equipped with coffee facilities and comfortable seating near the fireplace. The breakfast was light and delicious.We ran late in getting to Swellendam on the day (only arriving close to 9pm) but Calvin was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and Cher even organised some delicious pizzas for us from the adjacent restaurant.We were a party of two and loved our stay but certainly, next time, we would love to visit in a group.Thank you for a wonderful stay. :)"

Although no Spa at Bloomestate - Walk to the Rain Spa next door where bills were transferred to the Bloomestate account for ease of settlement. "A beautifully designed, well-thought out retreat. The attention to every detail was excellent. Definitely one of the best places I've been to in South Africa. Wonderful hosts, lovely rooms, generous bathrooms, perfect set-up for reading at the pond with twittering weavers, a sparkling pool, lavender and citrus, and real sense of space and tranquility. The owners made a special effort for a romantic event, and did so beautifully."
