Lekker-Bly Self-catering Cottage is located in the picturesque town of Swellendam, approximately a two-hour drive from Cape Town. Situated next door to the world-famous Drostdy Museum, Lekker-Bly is within walking distance of restaurants and the Old Goal Museum complex.

With stunning mountain views, Lekker-Bly offers travellers a comfortable and cosy place to stay. The cottage is fully furnished and consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an upstairs loft, a lounge area with DStv and a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a braai/barbecue on the beautiful veranda. The cottage offers a beautiful garden and a safe parking area.

The picturesque little town of Swellendam is just off the N2 about 240 km outside of Cape Town and connects the Southern Overberg with the Garden Route. Swellendam lies at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains and has become popular in recent times as a place to retire and as a retreat for artists seeking a lifestyle outside of the city rat race.

"This was a lovely place to stay and Sonja was very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is beautifully decorated with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Lovely area to go for a walk and only a short drive to shops and restaurants. Only stayed one night, but will definitely recommend Lekker-Bly Cottage."

"Excellent location - easy walking to lots of local attractions, pretty setting. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, great for a family - would definitely recommend this accommodation. Some very minor areas for improvement: Could do with some more lighting options in the living area (table or standing lamps as well as the overhead lights, which are a bit harsh), and the TV would be more comfortable to watch if it was on a lower table (and maybe upgrade to a HD decoder ;-) ). A sprung mattress on the bed would be more comfortable for longer stays (not really an issue for a couple of nights)."

"Die huis is pragtig. Alles wat mens nodig het is daar. Die bed slaap heerlik. Elektriese kombers was welkom. Die dekor is cosy en pas by die atmosfeer van hout en kaggel. Sal baie graag weer wil gaan."

"After a wonderful warm welcome by Sonja, we found the accommodation to be more than adequate, and especially clean and homely. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need and loads of extra linen and blankets in the cupboard. The only thing we would change, would be curtains on the side windows for privacy."

"This was a chance for myself, my two sisters and their kids to touch base. This little cottage was ideal for that. We were looking for something safe for the smaller kids, no open water or pools, and this provided us with that security. It's situated in a fantastic part of town. Very convenient. The kids had a great time wandering through the Drostdy Museum, situated right next door. It had everything we needed and made the stay in Swellendam so very easy. Will recommend this little gem to anyone looking to stay in this picturesque little town. Thanks Sonja."

"We were given a friendly informative welcome. The location of the cottage could not have been better - next door to the Drosty in a quiet side street. The cottage has been very well equipped and the owners have thought of every possilbe need. Very comfortable, lovingly furnished with art works of local artist ,info on the area, fire for winter and wonderful braai area under the vines. Would definately be back!"
