Located along the scenic and exciting Garden Route, Swellendam Bed and Breakfast allows you to experience the route's countless walking, sporting and soaking up the sunshine opportunities, from a comfortable and private base in a lush green garden.

We pride ourselves on our personal service and on our immaculately presented rooms, designed specifically for guests who value privacy and service in equal measure.

The garden cottage is newly built, but in a traditional style and consists of a generous double en-suite bedroom and a separate single en-suite bedroom. The suite offers you the unique advantage of having your own sitting room with open fireplace, that offers a cosy and warm retreat in winter. It's double patio doors let in the summer sunshine and sounds of a traditional Cape garden, full of greens and bright colorful flowers. The suite also offers a small, convenient galley kitchen with glasses and crockery for your personal use. You can dine in your own kitchen whilst breathing in the fresh mountain air.

It is a matter of pride that you should feel comfortable, safe and at ease while you are with us. We provide exceptional breakfasts using local produce and can cater for a wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements, while still maintaining the homely Cape standards we excel in.

"Baie lekker gekuier - sommer gevoel soos vriende waar ons besoek afle. Woonstel baie lekker ingerig en veilige parkering ook 'n plus vir 'n voertuig wat vol gepak is. Ontbyt was baie lekker en baie mooi voorgesit - het lekker gesels met ons gasvrou."

"We stayed in the 2-bedroom garden cottage, which was quiet, calm and immaculately clean. A lovely old oak tree in front of the cottage provides ample shade for summer drinks outside. Breakfast is included in the SafariNow price and is a real spoil as Hannetjie takes out her heirloom silver to treat guests to a visual and culinary feast in their impeccably kept home. Some of the pieces are the same that her grandmother used in her guesthouse many, many years ago. Hannetjie and her husband have done everything possible to ensure that we have a comfortable and safe stay."

"Nice cottage in a garden with a huge oak tree. We would have liked to park our car in a more secure spot. WE found the directions on Safari website rather confusing.
