Situated on the edge of the beautiful village of Barrydale, the Red Rooster is a private and free-standing cottage thats sleeps two.
Reached via the Tradouw Pass, the entrance to the Klein Karoo, the cottage is surrounded by a wild organic garden and overlooks spectacular mountain views. It is also within walking distance of all amenities.
There is one double bed downstairs and one in the loft. The charge for the cottage is R 780 and a R 100 extra per person for use of the loft. The downstairs is an open plan, light space, which opens onto a secluded patio. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. It is suitable for two people but can accommodate a further two, and is also the ideal place for creative people and nature lovers.
"A lovely, typical country cottage well furnished with old rustic furniture.Quiet, serene and close to the town center. Beautiful gardens surround the double storey cottage.. Lots of birdlife!"
"Wish we had stayed a day or two more. Good value for money. Type of place I love to go to! Friendly helpful hosts."
"The quiet setting in a lovely herby vegetable garden, the trees were blossoming and you felt like you were far far away."
"Spent one night at the Red Rooster on our Route62 trip. A cute little place - not for luxury and long stays but more than adequate for one night. Loved the little stove - really warmed up the place."
"We had a warm welcome. The accommodation was clean and neat with a lovely setting. The kitchen could do with a few more items. A baking pan for instance. A braai area outside would also be nice. I would recommend this accommodation. Affordable comfortable accommodation."
"Such a pretty little town. The Red Rooster has a subtle warm small town sense of humor I really appreciated with a delicious vegetable garden to boot:)."
