Ashley Guesthouse

Ashley Guesthouse celebrates its 5th anniversary this year with thanks to the many guest that chose to stay with us.

It is an owner managed establishment. You are assured of the best attention and service at all times.

We are in a suburb called Sydenham. Surrounding areas are Overport, Musgrave, Sherwood. The guesthouse is very centrally located, just two minutes from the N3 Highway. Ten minutes to the city centre and beachfront.

Durban's famous Florida road, home to the trendiest restaurants and nightclubs, is just a 7 minute drive. Surrounded by shopping malls like; Westwood Mall, Musgrave Centre, Pavilion Shopping Centre, all with in a 10 km radius and the biggest of them all, Gateway Shopping Centre in Umhlanga, 17 km . Within walking distance from the house, you will find a police station, a hospital, pharmacy, supermarket, liquor store, butchery, bakery, popular takeaway outlets as well as public transport.

We accommodate guests in three kinds of unit such as Unit 1, which has three bedrooms and sleeps seven,

Unit 2 has two bedrooms and sleeps five and last but not least unit 3 which has two bedrooms and sleeps four.

These are fully equipped for self-catering. Other facilities include an iron, a hairdryer on request, TV with DStv and DVD player, air-conditioning in the bedroom room, braai area, babysitting, faxes and photocopies. Small pets allowed by prior arrangement. Secure parking. Basic maid service and towels supplied.

Breakfast or Dinner can be arranged for corporates, (parties of four or more)

Premature departures will be expected to honor original reservation.

Cancellations forfeit 50% of the total booking value.

"It all started badly. The picture on Safarinow website is not the place we were at. We got wrong address from Safarinow website. We found some old man there. We phoned Ashley, she told us she moved. She gave us the direction to the "new" place.When we got there, the place is on the main road. The place doesn't look outside. Well, we met Ashley. She is a very friendly lady. We got into the apartment. It was not what I expected from what I saw outside. The rooms are spacious and clean. Unlike other places I've been, the DSTV had many channels to choose from, impressive!. It was just ok. Not bad."

"Although the apartements look great when one gets in, surprised to find out that plumbing is not well maintained.Were also missing a proper reception, we have not seen the landlord during our stay. Too impersonal for a "Guest House".The requested breakfast was managed professionally and timely, much appreciated."

"Good day we had very terrible accommodation/service , we booked at Ashley 's guest house and she moved is to another filthy city apartment and when we arrived at her place she told us that she has moved us to another place , it is a very old building with no lift and looking like a scrap yard outside , and they were busy renovating the place when we arrive there and some of the windows were not working with some '' dont open stickers , no stove, no mirror and no TV , I am asthmatic and allergic to smells , the rooms were smelling paint as they were busy painting , I asked her why did she move us , she said something like her son is sick. It was very frustrating and I did even know what to say to the people whom I came with. I was so embarrassed. This is a total rip off."
