Soul of Africa Lodge

Soul of Africa Lodge is a luxurious, privately owned game lodge nestled in the idyllic bushveld surrounds of the Waterberg Mountains, just outside the town of Thabazimbi in the Limpopo Province.

The lodge is easily accessible and guests can expect to be pampered in a tranquil environment, within an affordable budget. The lodge caters for a total of 12 guests, ensuring personal attention and exclusivity. The lodge comprises six very exclusive chalets which are scattered on the mountain ridge, and offers privacy to all guests. Each luxurious chalet has a double bed, air-conditioner and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. The bath offers uninterrupted and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and bush.

Guests can watch the sun set in a golden display over the distant mountain peaks from the chalet's private viewing deck, or watch a sky of scattered clouds suffused with shades of purple and pink as dawn approaches. Soul of Africa is home to leopard, buffalo, serval cat, brown hyena, giraffe, kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, njala, zebra, water buck, mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, duiker and steenbuck, and soon to be home of the Sable Antelope and Black Impala as well. Game and ample bird life can be viewed whilst sipping cocktails in the beautiful swimming pool, or whilst enjoying a braai with friends at the lodge's braai area, both of which overlook the scenic bushveld environment and Waterberg Mountains.

Guests can also experience the wonders of nature on an open vehicle game drive. The Big 5 are approximately 30 km away. Soul of Africa offers a small restaurant and conference facility, outstanding accommodation and friendly, personal service.

Another fascinating experience is our game walks and mountain climbing with our qualified tracker. You could also embark on your own adventure, learning and studying the tracks.

Soul of Africa is classified as a safe game reserve, which means that no dangerous animals reside on the reserve and guests are free to bring their own mountain bikes and explore the walking trails either on foot or on bike. You and your partner can take a trip on a quad bike and feel the excitement of this fun-filled adventure which puts you right in the Soul of Africa. You could also notch up your shooting skills with target practicing.

Soul of Africa can boast that within a radius of 55 km, we have three golf courses right in the middle of the bushveld surrounded by game. Please kindly note that the proof of payment needs to be presented upon arrival in order to check in.
