"We loved everything - the price was quite expensive and then I did not know about the conservation levy, but perhaps that was my fault."
"The tree house and the friendly team, which take care of you!"
"Great value for money at an intriguing venue.Fantastic bush outlook from a comfortable veranda and a lovely bed."
"Although our honeymoon was 28 years ago, you definitly feel like this here !! The tree house is really breathtaking, nicely furnished and if you are lucky with a view on the wilde beest an the Zebras. One evening we had dinner around the fire place, very impressive and of course delicious. Would like to come back immedeately !"
"<div>Pezulu is a great get-away, quiet yet full of animal live. The Honeymoon suite is the BEST, there is a water hole right in front of the Tree House with a Bush-Baby (Nag Appie) living in the thatched roof...!!! which makes the stay even more worth while. There are other Trees Houses available if your group happens to be bigger, that have walk-ways between the rooms that can be found in separate trees but part of the same Tree House.</div><div><br /></div><div>All the Tree Houses are far apart from one another with thick bush in-between, so when it comes to showering or bathing it is met with giggles and some shyness at first; why you ask? Well the bathroom(s) is protected by mosquito nets but open to the bush... adding to that feeling of being one with nature, being part of nature.</div><div><br /></div><div>Supper is offered in a boma where a lovely bonn fire has been started and coals spread out for the bowls and pots that serve you with warm tasty food. And breakfast is served in the open dinning area, and often there might be some buck or Giraffe passing by on their way to a watering hole.</div><div><br /></div><div>Bush walks are offered for those who prefer taking some time out in between the trees and grass, with a guide of course as one can never be to safe. Game drives are offered to those who prefer viewing herds of Buffalo, Spring Buck, Zebras, etc. You might be lucky and spot a pride of Lions in the area, the guides will try their best to help you spot a Leopard resting or sleeping in a tree.</div><div><br /></div><div>My wife and I thank Pezulu Tree House Lodge for their friendliness and the kitchen staff for the lovely meals they provided. And WE would HIGHLY recommend this Lodge to any everyone.</div><div><br /></div><div>Room Tip: Best sunset views, 3G, swimming, pool table...</div>"
"My family and I were looking forwards to our stay at Pezulu over the New Years, but were very disappointed. <br />The tree house we stayed in was called Knobthorn. It was incredibly hot - like a sauna. We were there in summer, but it was <strong><em>hotter inside</em></strong> <em><strong>our room than it was sitting in the direct sun</strong></em>. It was unbeareable after 9:30am! There was an airconditioner, but this made absolutely no change to the temeperature except for at night. The tree house was therefore a no-go area till after 6pm at night. When we brought this to the attention of Claude (the owner), he just shrugged his shoulders. <br />We booked a game drive for our second day there. We re-confirmed this booking in the morning, but when we went to the office 1/2 hour before the drive we were told we weren't booked! When we complained we were told there was place for only 2 of us. We were there as a family and wanted to experience things as a family, so dissapointingly declined. <br />We were there over New Years - nothing special was done to celebrate the new year!<br />The last dinner there they ran out of food! <br />We left a day early.<br />Our feeling was that Claude really did not care for service anymore as he has sold the business. Our advice is if you want to go to Pezulu, only go from March 2016 onwards as that is when the new owners take over. <br />"
"Definitely worth the money - peace and quiet but in the same sentence loads to do in surrounding area. Rooms with stunning view (mountain view) and food proper South African home cooking!"
"We spent just one night at Pezulu Tree House. Overall we really enjoyed the accommodation. the tree house is something special.Breakfast was really good, dinner okay . Unfortunately there was not enough food for all - dinner.Besides, I was asked in advance if we have any food intolerance or allergies - but this was not considered for breakfast or dinner.Service was good though. Price is also alright. We would recommend this accommodation and also the really good big5 game drive!"
"Thank you Claude for going out of your way and organising my wife's pillows to be dropped off at the main gate. She forgot them at the lodge. It was a great stay and we will be back again."
"Eine wirklich sehr sehr schoene Lodge mit freundlichem Personal und mit bis ins detail durchdachten annehmlichkeiten! Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!!!"
"Our stay at the lodge was fantastic. Mike and his wife were wonderful and really did more than what is normal to make our stay memorable. Our bush baby roommates were inspirational and they made our quiet late afternoon relaxation on the deck most enjoyable. The only complaint we had was not about Pezulu itself, but the contractor they used for our game drives. Orloef was a dissapointment and he did little to make our trip informative or enjoyable. I think the cost of having a driver instead of a ranger is excessive. Thank you to all the staff and management of Pezulu for making our stay special."
"What a wonderful experience as "man goes back to live in trees". Friendly staff, good food and beautiful recovery after the heavy floods 2 weeks before our arrival But be aware: consult their website or staff for prices of game drives, which are not included in the price quoted. Tree houses are not for sissies: due to the nature of the construction there are lots of insects, frogs and geckos inside the rooms (I guess snakes can also make it inside), so sleep under the mosquito net. Find out about "high tea (light meal)" included in the price, but which we somehow missed or weren't offered. The following needs attention to make this a 5 star rating: The rooms with larger trees (especially marulas) need to be cleaned (wiped) twice daily to get rid of the leaves, sticky resin and resulting ants and other goggas. A bug spray should be provided. Coffee making facilities need improvement (replenishment, rusks, maybe a plunger). Our matress was not of the expensive type and towels have become thin with excessive use. Otherwise? Highly recommended. We loved the weekend."
"Although we did not see a lot of animals, we enjoyed the experience. Excellent food and ambiance. We enjoyed the nice touches such as the welcome drinks and sherry after the game drive. The staff is very friendly. The Honeymoon Treehouse with bush babies and frogs was a great experience."
"Our stay at Pezulu Tree House Game Lodge was fabulous! The attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff, particularly Mariska and Andrew, made for a memorable family holiday. Thank you!"
"Wow! What an experience. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly faces! We felt right at home our entire stay! The food was amazing and we loved the dinner around the boma every night! The staff were great, helpful and always went out on the limb to please us. Claude and Lydia are doing an amazing job at Pezulu! We were fortunate to see four of the Big 5 up close and personal on more than one occasion! Jeff, Danie and Diana really showed us a great time during our stay, having late night drinks around the boma! Wow! We learned so much during our stay and enjoyed every second! We will definitely stay again in the very near future!"

"Nice variety of food at the buffets for High Tea and breakfast. That night we had kudu and other delicious dishes in the bomba/outdoor barbecue area. Wonderful South African singing while we ate. Tree house had a special atmosphere and we heard the impala running underneath that night. The staff were very friendly and the children enjoyed visiting with the friendly dogs. The puzzles and books laid out in the sitting area near the buffet area were welcome distractions for our children."
