  "We booked in for an overnight stop on our drive from Jhb to Cape Town. The room was comfortable with a double bed and bunk beds for my 2 boys. As soon as we arrived, my boys were in the swimming pool, which was cool and refreshing. It allowed them to burn some energy after being stuck in the car the whole day. Food was excellent and Annelise was a great host. She was always around to chat to, but never got in your way. Most of the other guests seemed to be regulars at GaMamadi when doing this same trip each year. One recommendation is that if you are going to wander around and venture off the main parking area or grass garden, wear closed shoes. There are thousands of thorns that are trying to get at your feet. This is a perfect place for an overnight stop and would happily recommend it to other travelers."

  "GaMamadi was an oasis after a long hot drive. We revived in the pool then relaxed in the shade on the lawn. The accommodation is well appointed and comfortable and Annelise is a fabulous host."

  "I can highly recommend GaMamadi as the perfect stop over. Not only is the accommodation very comfortable and well equipped, but Anneliese is a wonderful host.... nothing is too much trouble! The farm is so peaceful and the swimming pool very welcoming after the long journey.<br/>The homemade lamb pie and malva pudding we ate for dinner was delicious.<br/>We will be back for sure !   "Analise was very friendly. My 3 gripes were that I was confused about the entrance and had to travel a further 10 km before I realised that the gate was the farm gate. Could have a sign there saying guests must open and close it themselves. Then the shower had no water. . A mere trickle. .They apologised but I was not compensation. The 2 course meal was rather expensive for a farm dinner."

  ". After travelling 7 hours to this destination, we were heartily welcomed by the hosts. Gamamadi was like a welcoming oasis during the heat wave. The room was neat and everything we needed was there. An air con would have made the stay perfect.<div>The dinner was superbly prepared. I even had to bottle feed a baby Angora. A swim in the pool was a bonus. I will truly recommend this guest farm to anybody travelling along the N1.</div>"

  "We arrived after a long days journey. A peaceful nights rest was enjoyed. Bed was comfortable. Ceiling fan was great and very necessary. Chalet well equipped. Supper served in the farmhouse by the family was ideal. Chilled wine and cold beer were most welcome. Will recommend to others. Ideal family stopover."

  "After a stay at a so called nice accommodation outside Robertson where there was no hot water, no extra blankets for the very low temperature and very very basic fittings we were so pleasantly surprised at Gamamamadi. First Anne called us a day early to confirm any dining arrangements and when we did arrive late afternoon after passing snow capped mountains it was great to be welcomed and find that the heaters and electric blankets were already switched on. Rooms were large and so comfortable. Milk, cereal etc all included. Greeted by their two lovely horses snuggling their noses up to us. What a difference. Thanks for a great stay and this will be our stop over in future.<div>Vincent and Maria</div>"

  "We stayed at GaMamadi for the first time on our way down to Cape Town and enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay there again on our way back to Jhb. Really wonderful hosts and the braaipack we ordered was great. Next time we want to try Annelise's food - sounded soooo yummy. The rooms are clean and well stocked. Our boys LOVED the farm and we had the most awesome sunset anyone could ask for. There is just something about the Karoo.Hope many more will give GaMamadi a try. You will not regret it."
