    18 July 2017

"my second time here. All neat, clean and well appointed.I experienced having no hot water in the shower in the morning after my morning jog and no cold water in the basin.I thought it was due to the freezing cold of the night.Nothing terrible.I used hot water from the basin for a quick washing.Room was very comfortable, heater was already on when I arrived, electric blanket as well, communal kitchen to reheat my supper was more than functional.Joalani will definitely be my overnight stop place when travelling to the North."

  • "Nicely done!"

    24 December 2016

"We slept over for one night in transit to Cape Town. Our room was very clean and highly presentable. We were very happy with everything, maybe the food was just a bit overpriced for the level of quality. Also there was a little kid running around who seemed to be part of the establishment. After a long ride, I didn't enjoy the kid not knowing his boundaries with guests. Other than that I can recommend Joalani. Lovely friendly people. Don't miss out on the spectacular show of stars!"

  • "Excellent"

  • "Perfect!"

    06 January 2016

"<div style="text-align: left;">We were welcomed by the most friendly people. We only spent one night. The bathrooms were absolutely beautiful and clean. We had a great rest. Will definitely stop over there again. Just remember to bring something warmer with. Hehe! Thank you!</div>"

  • "Not money worth"

    28 December 2015

"The Quote doesn't include for pets that is extra when you arrive. On arrival we were told that 5 adult people have to sleep on 1 double bed and 2 single beds. There is braaifacilities but no grids to braai&nbsp; the meat on and no cutlery,&nbsp; <strong>only kettle and mugs</strong> in rooms, you have to buy prepared food in Three Sisters. The place is not very pet friendly at all, your pet can run away because it is not secure. The rooms were very neat .<br />"

  • "A Karoo oasis"

    13 October 2015

"After a hectic hot day travelling from Cape Town, it was like finding an oasis in the desert.<div>Mare' was full of typical Afrikaner hospitality and fed us lekker 'boere' kos. The beds were very comfortable and the pool was an added bonus. We also got to see SA beat USA. Yay!</div>"

  • "comfortable and affordable overnight stay"

    13 October 2015

"My husband and I stayed over at Joalani"s on 9 October 2015. We were given a friendly welcome by Mare, the owner, who showed us to our room and explained everything we needed to know for our stay there. we were surprised by the neat, tidy, comfortable and fresh looking room. therewas a personal and unique touch to everything which made the stay worthwhile. very clean and comfortable bedding and linen, warm water, lovely food which we ordered for the evening, which all added to an enjoyable stay. we will definitely remember Joalani's for a next stop-over."

  • "Thank you once again!"

    21 July 2015

"Our second overnight stay at Joalani Gasteplaas was in midwinter, so this time we opted for one of the en-suite chalets. Once again everything was spotlessly clean. The tastefully decorated chalet was equipped with a heater, a fridge, coffee and tea facilities (including beskuit!), towels and bedding and even complimentary toiletries. We also had access to the communal kitchen,&nbsp; lounge and braai facilities. Once again our hosts made us feel truly welcome - it felt much like a family reunion! <br />"

  • "Close to N1"

    03 September 2014

"I camped one night en route from Cape Town to Johannesburg with my 4-year-old son. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, there are separate ablution and kitchen facilities with amenities, which was great. The campsite was effectively their front lawn, and the location is about 500m from the N1, while this is convenient, it also makes for a noisy night with constant heavy trucks passing and an occasional train."

  • "AWESOME"

    23 July 2014

"It was a welcoming and refreshing overnight stop. We did not expect to have tea/coffee/sugar and milk left out for us let alone the use of the kitchen and lounge/dining area and all the equipment. The ablutions were lovely - maintained and clean and even soap/toilet paper was provided. An absolute pleasure to stay there."

  • "What a pleasant surprise!"

    02 January 2013

"We (my son, his girlfriend and I) required urgent affordable overnight accommodation(camping)along the route between Krugersdorp and Mossel Bay. Joalani seemed the ideal solution, but at the extremely reasonable tariff quoted we were not expecting more than a small camping site and ablution facilities. We were in for such a pleasant surprise. Johan and Mare Muller made us feel like honoured guests. The camping site was beautifully situated in a garden next to a swimming pool. The ablution facilities were spotless. The biggest surprise was unrestricted use of a well-stocked, fully- equipped communal kitchen (ice cold drinks in the fridge!),lounge (TV!) and braai area. We were further blessed with Karoo night sounds, a starry night and an almost full moon. We were pretty reluctant to leave the next morning! I recommend Jualani Gasteplaas without hesitation. Karoo hospitality at its best! Thank you so much for a memorable stay!"
