  • "Peaceful, convenient stop-over"

    15 September 2020

"This was an overnight stay on a journey from the Eastern Cape to Gauteng (and perfectly positioned almost exactly half-way). The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with everything needed for an overnight stop, including a few basics for tea and coffee, and breakfast.A very friendly sheep dog was the cherry on top!"

"Everything, from the pool board to the bathroom. You have lots of surfaces as well as hanging hooks, something we always look for at establishmentsLove the little mats on the sides of the bed, that's another plus. We never braaied, but all the facilities were there, charcoal, wood, and we could decide in or outThank you for the breakfast items especially your rusks Sannie!"

  • "Stay over en-route home from Hartenbos"

    04 March 2018

"What a surprise. Nicely situated about 6km's from the N1 outside of Trompsburg. Sannie was there to welcome us, and you immediately felt welcome. She even called before our expected arrival to ensure we know where to find the farm. Typical farmer friendliness from her and her husband. We had juice, yogurt, rusks, cookies awaiting us on arrival over and above the normal coffee and tea. Wood and charcoal was available for use.I was surprised when I wanted to unpack and Adam, one of the farm workers, was busy washing my vehicle, totally unexpected. If you like a real farm style stay-over, I would really recommend Memory Ranch. The hot breakfast was on the house, and was served in the lapa we stayed over in. I could even get a 40km ride in with the MTB on the local farm roads. Memory Ranch is real value for money. I will easily use them again."

  • "The Rain!"

    03 February 2018

"We arrived at Memory Ranch during a thunder storm, what a pleasure for us coming from Cape Town with no water! Pieter and Sannie were there to welcome us - great people who made our stay so memorable, thanks guys! The complex that we stayed in was well equipped, clean and neat. Our breakfast, served in our room, was outstanding! It's off the beaten track (only 6 kms) but so enjoyable."

    04 August 2014

"Die 4 kinders het 'n wonderlike tyd gehad by wonderlike gasvrye mense. Hulle kon nie uitgepraat raak oor hoe aangenaam en behulpsaam die eienaars was nie. Hulle maak al planne om in die somer te gaan kuier. Wonderlike waarde vir geld."

  • "Memory Ranch"

    20 December 2013

"We really enjoyed our stay at Memory Ranch. The cottage was comfortable, spacious, well-equipped and spotless. The places are private, set under lovely trees and the hosts are very nice. If you have a GPS, stick to the N1 (Memory Ranch is very close). Do NOT let it direct you onto the R701 towards Bethulie and then over farm roads!"

  • "Great accomodation"

    13 August 2013

"Very friendly and warm welcome (fireplace on and electric blankets/necessary - 10 degrees that night!) and every thing looks fine and well equipped. You even have your own pool table. The accommodation is much bigger as you should expect from the outside. It is huge!"

Add to that the hospitality of the host family and the unique thatch-roof round house as an oasis of rest in their beautiful garden and one just has to stay an extra night. 16 July 2010

"Dit was 'n kort maar kragtige oornag op een van die koudste nagte in die Vrystaat in die middel van Junie. Die reelings was goed en die warm kaggel met ons aankoms in die donker, 'n heerlike verwelkoming. Ons sal graag weer in die somer daar wil oornag."

  • "'Memory Ranch B&B'"

    15 January 2010

"Sannie kept contact with us before we even left Cape Town and continued to monitor our trip periodically in order to be sure she was ready for our arrival on time and that we would not lose our way. There is a short gravel road to travel on and the area where the farmhouse and the accommodation was appeared like an oasis. We were made to feel welcome and assistance with the luggage was offered.Personal service was offered by Sannie and Pietie and we were immediately made to feel welcome. The accommodation was spacious with two double beds and two single beds, a bar, a lounge suite, two dinner tables, a pool table, toilet shower, fridge, kettle, and more space, lots of it.The surrounding garden had its share of sun and shade, being surrounded by trees and it was well watered. We chose to have one of our wonderful meals outside under the trees. The meal and the experience was worth far more than the R25.00 per head that we paid. This was beside the self help breakfast snack that was included in the price of the accommodation. The only misgivings would be that it was a little over half way and the perhaps the short and well looked after gravel road trip if that kind of thing is bothersome.I would recommend the stay to anyone traveling or any hunters looking for an experience and we will certainly revisit in future."
