Amidst the distant thunder of hooves from the beautiful spotted horse and the elegant beat of the Arabian, Perdeberg Guest Farm lies in a fertile soil within the Perdeberg Stud Farm.

A homely retreat, the guest house consists of four well-furnished bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge with DStv. The gardens are rich in bird life, roaming horses, sheep and a quiet place to count a thousand stars.

Situated on the on the edge of the Great Karoo, Perdeberg Guest Farm experiences cold winters and rich fertile soils which make for a healthy climate; an ideal breeding ground for strong and durable horses. Home to the well-known Perdeberg Appaloosa and Arabian Studs, this working farm also breeds working sheep dogs, miniature horses and merino sheep. They also go as far as offering overnight stables and kennels for your pets, so they too can experience this remarkable environment.

Doing absolutely nothing, days can be spent under a tree with a good book found in the farm's little library. The more adventurous can saddle a horse and ride these ancient Griqua tribal lands where springbuck, mountain reedbuck and other smaller game are still in abundance.

"We had the large farmhouse to ourselves complete with kitchen, dining room and large living room. We opted to pay extra for a home cooked dinner and Im so glad we did. The food was delicious and well portioned for our little family. There were a few drinks in an honesty bar. The house itself was in good condition and the gardens well tended. I wish we had spent an extra night here so we could have seen more of the farm. Suggest going on the R717 rather than the N1 to minimize the dirt road."

"One of the best guest farms I stayed on. The welcoming was very friendly with a lovely setup. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. The owner went out of her way to make the stay unforgettable. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to experience a bit of the farm live."

"The house is large and comfortable, with lovely big lawn that is made for lying on! We didn't explore much of the farm itself, as we were there for only one night, but did drive and walk along the farm road for some bird spotting and star gazing, which was incredible. Sunset was spectacular, too. We loved staying in an authentic farm house and look forward to going back for a longer stay to really unwind. Highly recommended if you need a break from it all!"

"My wife & I wanted a quick stop over on longer journey, but we left with huge regrets - that we had not planned to stay longer. We woke in our own time with only the chirping of many birds, and utter peace. Thanks for your patience with us, Joelene.<div>The experience was almost lost by SafariNow due to poor comms, payment system not working, not answering their phone or emails. A lady at SafariNow did try to resurrect the situation, but eventually it only happened because we eventually got contact with the owner before another booking was found.</div><div>Poor show by SafariNow.</div>"

"We had a wonderful overnight stay at Perdeberg in the height of season in December. Extremely comfortable rooms and bathrooms in the lovely old farm house. Jolene could not have been more hospitable to our family and even kindly forwarded my phone charger and plugs on to me which I had left behind. Would highly recommend."
