De Wets Camp is located along the banks of the Limpopo River and offers guests an opportunity to see game in their natural habitat. The camp has 15 chalets sleeping two people.
Ten of the chalets have double beds and five have twin beds. Each of the chalets have en-suite bathrooms with showers. There is an open-air lapa with wonderful dining facilities as well as a bar and a comfortable lounge area. The lodge has a plunge pool where guests can cool down in the sparkling water. There is a well-equipped gym for those wanting to keep active.
Located on Popallin Ranch, along the banks of the Limpopo River, the lodge borders on Zimbabwe. There is 10,000 hectares of unspoilt bushveld where many animal species wonder. This is an ideal place to enjoy nature and experience the thrill of a close-up encounter with game in their natural habitat.
"We Arrived just after 18h00. No manager to meet us at reception; no one
to show us our rooms. An employee who could barely speak english,
eventually showed up to show us our rooms. We asked for self-catering.
When we arrived there, we learned that it is not self-catering. We had to
walk 2 km with all our luggage, to our rooms. There were barely any
employees to assist with our bags; there were no luggage trolleys,
except for an okd rusted trolley used to carry wood. The rooms had no tea
/ coffee facilities; no air conditioning; one room did not have a shower
head; the other rooms toilet was blocked and had no warm water. During
this whole experience management was absent. Informed us that she told
the booking agents they are not self-catering, yet the owner, despite the
fact that the booking was made 4 months back, made no effort to contact
us to make alternative arrangements. We demanded a full refund of our
money, to find alternative accommodation, but they did have the cash on
hand and the owner apparently did not know how her eft banking system
work. The overall condition of the lodge is very poor, dirty and
neglected. I will not recommend anyone to stay at De Wets camp. We had
an absolute horrible experience and would not want anyone to go through
the same expierence as us. And at a price tag of R6000 for the night for
out group, one certainly would expect much more service.
You do not even qualify for a one star rating"

"That was fantastic. Money well spent. We will recommend it to people to go and see for himself."
