  "Well equipped cottage, quaint, neat. Loved the setting and the views over the valley and neighbouring dam, the smell of the pine trees, the privacy. I prefer setting of Pine Cottage over 'Stone Cottage', as views are better and more private. Loved the splash pool, that was very welcome. What could be improved was a personal welcome, we collected keys from cupboard and never saw anyone. Was missing tall drinking glasses. Not big deal but it was very hot so it would be nice to poor a big glass of juice with ice. Fridge and bed in same room, fridge noisy, switched it off at night. Nice booklet with information, Map was unclear we never found the dams. Also sadly did not see Zebra's. I do recommend this place. Peaceful. Lots of birds. We did spot the bokkies and Wildebeest. Orchard cottage looked divine. As well as Blue Butterfly. I'd come back."

  "We enjoyed our stay. Pity we could not stay longer. Only problem we encountered was the path/driveway to the cottage where the car must be parked, very uneven and rocky. In our case we have a very low BMW that catches anything protruding. It is ok if you have a higher car or 4x4.. otherwise it was a good venue to getaway into the quietness of nature. The cottage had all the necessary equipment but not serviced. Overall highly recommendable for a quiet getaway!"

  "I'm hesitant to write too glowing a review as we wish to try and keep this place to ourselves but that wouldn't be fair. Our stay couldn't have been any better, the Stone Cottage was absolutely perfect for a couple. Private, clean, beautiful view, indoor fireplace if needed, great braai area, all necessary amenities. It was the perfect place to base for a weekend exploring Tulbagh and surrounds. It was amazing to come home every afternoon, have a dip in the pool overlooking the valley then go for an evening walk around the reserve. We will definitely be back. Thank you."

  "Pine Cottage is a small but very attractive stone cottage well situated among pine trees in a nature reserve. Storage space is limited and the bed was not too comfortable. Otherwise good facilities."

  "Welbedacht is what heaven must be like. No traffic, no people, just the tweeting of birds, fynbos and pine trees. Zebra and springbuck are in the fields. Beautiful walks in the bushes, views to die for. We had a wonderful stay and referred my son and his girlfriend to go as well, which they are. Will definitely go again for longer. Wonderful!"

  "Our stay at Welbedacht was fantastic. Orchard cottage was cool and comfortable and private and well equipped. There was no pressure to announce ourselves on arrival and we were free to settle in at our own pace and do our own thing. The owners keep everything discreet and unobtrusive. We enjoyed walking and swimming and generally taking it very easy. Highly recommended."

Although 1 of 4 lodges on the farm, each one is separated a good distance from the other and offers absolute privacy.It's a wonderful place for the whole family and would recommend it to anybody who is looking for some genuine R&L!"
