Owen's Camp
Owens Camp offers comfortable, fully catered accommodation for up to 20 people in 10 well-appointed rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. A full English breakfast is served and DStv is available in the lounge. Lunch and supper can be arranged at an additional cost, with laundry services also available at reasonable prices.
The camp lies at the centre of the 23,000-hectare eMakhosini-Opathe Heritage Park, a candidate for World Heritage Site status. It is a landscape unique in world terms and is the resting place of seven illustrious Zulu kings.
Bird life is abundant and several species of game, including White rhino, have been re-introduced to the park to return it to its former glory. Guests can enjoy guided walks in the park and can, quite literally walk with giraffe.

20 May 2023"The SafariNow advertisement is incorrect both in the asking price (it is now higher) as well as the fact that breakfast is no longer included. I was informed by the establishment that they are now entirely self-catering. Unfortunately however, they only provide a kettle and a cup. No cutlery or crockery, as I only found when I got there. Also, there is no provision for load-shedding and I had to spend my evening from 18:00 to 22:00 in the dark with no water. Not a very pleasant experience."

11 December 2015"Thanx, I had a good time. Phumla, the receptionist was very efficient. Beautiful environment, peaceful. Unfortunately, not to my doing, I had to relocate to Durban. Hoping for a refund,( even half of the balance). Highly recommended if you want peace and rest. Plenty of game. Tar the roads, at least. Want to come back."

03 November 2012"It was the worst I ever experienced and totally overpriced. Everything is dirty and sticky, there is only a kettle in the room with no cups, glass, coffee. I did not even stay for the 2 nights I paid. Staff walk around in bathrobes."
