  "Being our second time in this unit, we were excited and the views yet again did not disappoint. However the unit itself could use with a bit more attention to detail; the microwave was intermittently working (which we did specify during our booking from the last time); however Umdloti Letting was quick to arrange an alternative for us which was much appreciated. Both the toilets leak and I'm no plumber but we're sure there's an issue with the geyser. One day we were all able to shower and wash dishes and the hot water was sufficient, the next day, one person had a shower and the hot water was done and we waited more than an hour and it still did not heat up enough. The walk in shower is spacious and would essentially be the best shower ever, if it had better drainage and some hooks to hang up your clothes and towels. Another plus would be provided towels. This is a superb location and we were able to watch the eclipse reflect stunningly on the ocean."

  "Wonderful stay in a fabulous unit. Both bedrooms as well as the lounge/dining room have full sea views and a balcony. Equipped with everything needed for our 4 night stay and recommended. Stairs are a little narrow and steep and may be a slight drawback for some."

  "This was our third stay and was treated to a stay that surpassed the previous two.The apartment is literally across the road from the beach and surf, guaranteeing awesome views during day and night. The choice of 2 balconies help to maximize the sea views.Will be staying there again soon! That's a promise."

  "Fantastic position, unit was clean and comfortable. The stairs can be seen as an added benefit (lots of exercise) The only issue is the garage as it cannot be locked."

  "A number of lights did not work; these include both the patio lights and the bottom stair case light. The keys did not work for the garage, so that was unlocked and one of the locks on the door seem to be seized as no keys worked on that lock. The microwave also seems to be faulty, the start button does not work most of the times. Overall a great place; won't mind staying there again."

  "few point to address:1-Parking - garage is to small to park as we drive a 4x4, we can not turn into the garage2-when we collected the keys at reception, the receptionist was not friendly at all. She did make us feel VERY unwelcome."

  "What we enjoyed was the apartment itself, it was very clean when we got there, the location is also great as are shops a walk away, the view is amazing as the beach is literally 10 steps away from the gate. The only thing I would say we didnt like was that the cleaning services are not available from the Friday that we arrived until the Monday that we left. Also the shower gets cold after 3 minutes of running the water...9AM Checkout is too early aswell...Overall experience was amazing I would gladly go back there. All that is left now is to receive our R750 refundable fee."

  "This was our second time staying at unit 25 in Umdloti Cabanas. As with the first time we were pleasantly surprised by the view, size of the unit and how central it is located in Umdloti. The unit consists of 3 levels - most of your time is spent on level 2 so take note: you will climb a lot of stairs. You are rewarded with a awesome view though! There is a garage with door to use but it is highly recommended that larger vehicles make use of other parking options (eg. a Ford EcoSport will fit, a Hyundai ix35 will be a mission to get in). We had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much. The unit is tidy and modern and sleeps 4 in comfort. Air-conditioning is only available in the bedrooms but with ample windows and ceiling fans the unit stays cool even when boiling hot outside."

  "lounge very uncomfortable. 90% of the time DSTV is not working. Aircon in the main bedroom did not work at all. Parking very very cramped. not suitable for holiday makers with a big vehicle.<div><br /></div><div><div><em>Establishment Response:</em></div><div><em><br /></em></div><div><em>This is simply a letter of revenge as this particular guest will be fined for breaking rules of the complex.   "The unit was very clean and well kept. The ocean views, promenade, and beaches are fantastic. The management was quick to respond to our problems. The only drawback of the unit for my family with two children (one 4.5 yr and one 1 year) was the steep staircases. The steep staircases are not suitable for young children or persons with certain physical disabilities. The barbeque/braai pit is open and will not fire in or after a rain."
