"The Beach Cottage doesn't have a geyser, only a Speed Heater attached to the shower tap. So if you enjoy a nice hot hard pressures shower you aren't going to get one. The only way you get really warm water is to have a low pressures shower. The thing with the Speed Heater is that you can't shower and use the microwave at the same time, it draws too much power. There's also no door separating the bathroom from the bedroom, only a throw which reaches halfway to the floor. So if you like to do your business in private your partner has to stand around in the kitchen area or sit outside. The bed isn't the most comfortable thing around and although the bedding is clean there are a few stains and a hole or two.There's also no cooking facilities in the kitchen, only a microwave so be prepared to cook in it or on the braai. If you're going to stay at The Beach Cottage don't expect anything amazing, thebest thing about The Beach Cottage is the view..."

"Beautiful sea views and all you need if you are on a budget and want to stay in the beautiful Umdloti beach area. Faye was a lovely host. It's a basic studio so don't expect anything lavish. No Aircon or TV but whale watching from the bed made up for it!"
