Twin Lodge is located in a very quiet, private environment in Mthatha. We offer seven en-suite bedrooms, all with private entrances from the garden and swimming pool. The lodge is an ideal getaway for couples or individuals just passing through.
Mthatha lies in the heart of the Nelson Mandela Route, established to give structure to the area for visitors who want to explore Madiba's history. The route starts in King Williams Town, where one can visit the grave of Steve Biko, leader of the Black Consciousness government. The route then moves through Bisho along the N2 to Mthatha and the Nelson Mandela Museum, opened 10 years to the day after he was released from prison.

16 December 2013"Friendly people, but the accommodation was bad and FAR TOO expensive. Room for 1 person rented out for two: 1 towel, 1 soap, 1 coffee, 1 chair in a very very tiny room, no room to put your suitcase. We could not enter the lodge, because the person with the remote control (gate) was out for shopping; we could not get out, the other day, because the person with the remote control was out for shopping again. No cleaning of the room, because they had not a second key of the room. Friendliness was great, but quality was the opposite. Again: far to expensive for what you get: 1500 per night!"
