"Clean and nice place to stay. Owners very friendly and agreeable people."
"Please take note of this..The place was very nice except the toilets. My Daughter and my wife got sick and we left one day early. I took them to the doctor and they had Gastro of the dirty water. The people across us also left early because of the smell of the toilets only after they complained about it the toilets were cleaned but this is not right. I will not recommend anyone to stay there and neither will I.

Establishment's response

Good day

I want to apologise for the toilet system that failed during the Christmas to New Year week . One of the sewage tanks blocked (after foreign object were thrown into the toilets) and in our efforts to regulate the flow, the other systems became under severe pressure. We do not have waterborne sewage on the hibiscus coast. The whole system was cleaned out and a new and bigger drain was installed. The sewage tanks with new drain was commissioned yesterday. I am confident that this will solve the problem.

With regards to the murky water I cannot comment as it was a general problem for the whole hibiscus coast also during the latter part of the Christmas week. I am not aware of any other person that got sick from the water.

The December holiday was a great success, we had excellent weather and fantastic campers who for most of the time enjoyed their stay on the hibiscus coast and Umtentweni Caravan Park. We had a 20% rebooking for next year already. And I assure my clients the toilet problem is fixed.

Tobie Mayer"
