In November 2008 we unveiled our newly built recreational area boasting a gym, steam bath facilities, a games room, sports bar, and quaint coffee shop serving freshly baked scones, light lunches, home-cooked dinners and a wide variety of take aways. It is just this kind of relaxation, exploration and stress-free lifestyle set in the unique surroundings that makes the memorable Umzumbe experience.

"The chalets are set on beautiful grounds, with a well-maintained communal pool/braai area that boasts lovely sea views. The overall environment is peaceful and serene, which people on holiday generally welcome. The chalet we stayed in (No 23) has magnificent views out to sea, and rests in a lovely elevated position, however, it has seen better days. It is quite dated, and fairly dull inside. The shower facilities are not well maintained (the shower head is broken).A point for improved service... please consider keeping the geyser on until at least 10am during the autumn and winter months, so guests have sufficient time while holidaying to shower without scrambling for the bathroom before 07:45! On our first morning, 3 of our 4 guests had cold showers - not a happy start to a day that was already set to maintain temperatures in the lower twenties!"
