Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Spa Resort

Located on a scenic 860 acre estate in the heart of the Southern Drakensberg. The Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Spa Resort offers guests a tranquil setting to relax and unwind.

All accommodation is spacious and comfortable, offering a choice of standard or deluxe rooms. All hotel rooms have private bathrooms, televisions, telephones, tea and coffee-making facilities and heaters, for those cold winter days and laundry facilities. Some rooms are wheelchair friendly.

Dining options include The Eagles Roost Buffet Restaurant, Bergview and Vine-Knot Restaurant offer a la carte dining. The Bistro and Glengarry Country Club is available for light meals during the day. The resort has two bars in the main building, Wildcat Sports Bar open from 08:00 till late and Buck & Trout Bar open from 15:00 Monday to Saturday. We have a designated lounge area to keep children for all ages entertained and a babysitting service.

Guests can enjoy picnic areas, hippo pools and boat hiring and fly fishing at the Lake Kwayoni.

The Adventure Park offers a variety of activities for example Zipline, archery, action cricket/soccer arena; BMX skills park, a 17km mountain bike single track and BMX hiring services.

A variety of other recreational activities are available on the resort such as tennis on our four different courts, bowls, volleyball, badminton, fly fishing, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Explore the adventure putt-putt course, 18-hole NGU rated golf course with motorised golf carts to hire, horse riding and squash facilities.

The Wellness Centre consists of a sauna, a plunge pool, a gymnasium, two Jacuzzi's, two steam rooms, a 24 jet hydrotherapy bath as well as a fully equipped gym with a cardiovascular circuit, a weight training section and a juice bar. The Wellness Centre also includes the LaVita Spa which offers five treatment rooms. Booking is essential.

The resort also offers two fully equipped conference and function venues with a maximum seating capacity of 200 delegates.

"Had a great time. Lots of activities, well mannered staff and food was great. Only complaint is the number of kids as young as 3 years old that was allowed in the main bar up until 11 pm. We walked in to enjoy a night of karaoke only to find the bar packed with kids who basically took over the bar leaving the kids play area empty. We could not find atable and had to wait outside until some left.This says a lot about these parents and managements responsibility. Otherwise a well enjoyed weekend away."

"What an amazing stay at the resort. Superb welcome and had the most friendliest treatment. Stunning atmosphere and the peace was highly tranquil. Food was certainly outstanding however, on the down side, The Bistro gave us much thought about dining there as the food was not 'the best'. A special thanks to management for assisting us with a minor vehicle incident involving another holiday visitor at the resort. Bottom line, we will certainly be visiting the resort again."

"The Hotel got an amazing location I don t think you can find a better place for resting, and enjoying theincredible vueof the Mountains If you love thegolfthis is the heaven ...it s so quite We loved it It s just 40 km to the Sani Pass We had a lot of fun it s an incredible experience please do it but only with a 4 X 4 !!! The staff is very friendly but they need more training The service is medium but the LOCATION ISFANTASTIC ;o)The buffet is fresh and good "
