B&B @ Bloem
B&B @ Bloem is situated in the quiet, leafy residential area of Universitas on the western side of Bloemfontein, between the University of the Free State and the N1. We are 1 km from the Haldon off-ramp, N1/R48 crossing.
We offer individually decorated rooms with private entrances and en-suite bathrooms. Double rooms, family rooms as well as a two-bedroom cottage are available. We also offer a unit equipped for people with disabilities that is wheelchair friendly. All rooms feature a TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and most rooms also offer a kitchenette.
Breakfast is served between 07h00 and 08h00 in our elegant breakfast room, Chez les Jourdan, which also houses our reception. 65 trees and shrubs have been identified and tagged. Guests now have the extra choice of B&B @ Bloem wines to enjoy.
We are centrally located for restaurants, Waterfront Mall, Sand du Plessis Theatre, Mimosa Mall, City Centre and Shopping Centres, four hospitals, two universities, provincial and international sports grounds. tourist centre, museums and showgrounds.

29 March 2016"We arrived at the B&B expecting to find 2 bedrooms for 4 people as per booking. We were given keys for 1 bedroom sleeping 4 people. The owner Marthinus shrugged his shoulders and said we can try another place up the road and walked away.<br /><br />The carpets were dirty, the "white linen" was yellow", the bathroom needed a good clean and the curtains were in need of a good wash.<br /><br />The parking space and entrance was limited and very difficult to enter and ext the premises. We opted to forfeit our money paid for the accommodation in order to secure an alternative place.<br /><br />If only the owner would spend money on giving the place a good clean and upgrade the impractical bathroom door and yellow linen it would be a good step in the right direction.<br />"

12 January 2016"<p>Clearly, someone loves this B and B. They have made a whole booklet that explains the stories behind each of the rooms, and guides you to Bloemfontein's finest spots. But I left disappointed. We stayed in the self catering cottage which had the bare minimum cutlery / crockery (exactly four plates, knives, forks, spoons),and little to cook with - no sharp knives, no bottle opener, no tin opener.</p><p>The drains were clogged with hair, and the shower broken. With a little bit of love, and a bit more attention to detail, this otherwise would be a good pet-friendly place to stay. <br></br></p>"

31 December 2013"Thank you to B&B @ Bloem for providing clean, affordable and safe accommodation for our party of 4 humans and one cat on the trip from Joburg to Cape Town.<br/>We arrived late and left early which meant we did not have an opportunity to try their breakfast. However the facilities we did make use of in the room was fantastic. A bonus was the safe parking for our cars and trailer.<br/>A special thank you to Prof Marthinus for posting the pillow case we accidentally left behind. Service like that guarantees that we will be making use of B&B @ Bloem when we are next in the area.<br/>We recommend them to all travelling through Bloemfontein.<br/>"
