Oasis Caravan Park, Camping and Chalets

Our beautiful and cosy resort is situated in Uvongo, in Margate, on the delightful KwaZulu-Natal Lower South Coast. We are pleasantly situated under large shady trees, secluded from public view and within 600 m of the protected beach of Uvongo.

Uvongo Beach is rated as the fourth best beach in the country and is famous for its waterfall that plunges 23 m down into the lagoon. Alongside the river runs a footpath that leads to the Uvongo River Nature Reserve and a childrens paddling pool is also situated on the grassy banks.

We have six individual chalets which sleep from two to eight people. Each chalet is equipped with a bedroom with a double bed or twin beds, an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining room, and a separate bathroom.

We have many facilities for you and your family to make your visit a pleasant one. Most of our 33 Caravan and Campsites are characteristically secluded making camping a pleasure, with 15 amp electrical points and water taps close to each site. Most of our sites are terraced, grassed and level with ample shade and are landscaped to ensure privacy. There are brick-built braais and our roads are tarred to add to your camping comfort. The ablution facilities are equipped with baths, washbasins, showers and toilets with flush sanitation. A laundry, ironing room and scullery are adjacent to the ablution block.

Bowling, tennis, squash, miniature golf, restaurants, dancing, horse riding, rowing boats and many other forms of entertainment is available nearby. For fishing enthusiasts, the famous Orange Rocks, Pot Hole, Beacon Rocks, Shad Bay, The Point and other well-known fishing spots are all within easy reach. The beaches are all protected with off-shore nets and several tidal swimming baths with childrens paddling pools are situated on various spots along the beach. Deep sea fishing can be arranged.

The Wild Coast Casino, Oribi Gorge, Crocodile Farm, Margate and Port Shepstone are only a short distance away.

"Place is ok but a few adjustments can be done. Outdated chalet. Only 1 roll of 1 ply toilet paper per stay and when we asked if we can have more the reply was a bit narsistic. No housekeeping to wash dishes. The whole idee of holiday is to do as little as possible. They should look into doing the simple things for the chalets as it will then suit the price asking per night. Mattresses not very comfy but sleepable. I would sleep over again and remember my own toilet paper and cleaning materials for dishes which is not informed by owner."
