  "We loved this little cottage, tucked away amongst the rocks and trees. Only the sounds of the bush broke the complete tranquility of this gem. Beautifully decorated and equipped for the romantic getaway we needed. At night we turned off all the lights to admire the heavens - what a spectacular sight. Being visited by the resident porcupine rustling past us was an extra treat. Andrew was very well informed and could answer any questions we put to him. Thank you so much Andrew and Nikki for making our tenth wedding anniversary a memorable one."

  "We loved our four night stay at Duiker Cottage, Izintaba. You would never have known that it was 'off grid'. The road leading to Izintaba was a bit sandy and rutted in places but our Toyota Avanza coped fine. The place was easy to find and on a arrival we were pleasantly met by the owner and her cat. We drove to the cottage now in the dark and stopped several times for a nightjar who sat patiently as we got out of the car to have a closer look at him. Duiker cottage was far bigger than we expected and we really loved the look and feel of the place. We booked two breakfasts and two dinners, they were all fantastic and it did help as we were the only two there. The dinning area has a large fire pit and neatly positioned so you have a lovely view of the moon. At the end of lunch the chef - Anna, checked we were ok to turn the lights off and smother the fire and we were then left to chat and dream about staying in Africa for ever while listening to some quiet African music and the sounds of the night. Our few days here we spent walking around looking at birds and trying to spot mammals before they spotted us. We enjoyed a sunset drink on the sunset platform with giraffes a few metres away from us at eye height...stunning. Duiker is also situated close to a small waterhole where lots of animals and birds enjoyed a drink from and we either sat a small distance away on seats or in our car and waited to see what arrived. We didn't spot any night time creatures unfortunately but we also didn't really try very hard, the bed was too cosy to resist. For a lovely relaxing stay at a super price I would highly recommend it."

  "Whilst we may have had some confusion over the unit that was booked we ended up staying in the Giraffe cottage (and not the Lodge). It still accommodated all of us comfortably and the 5 kids had an absolute ball just doing nothing and exploring the surrounding bushveld.<br /><br />We especially enjoyed the stoep area and fire pit where we spent most of the time during our 3 night sleep over.<br /><br />I definite must if you want to be in the middle of nowhere and enjoy peace and quiet from the mad rush in the city.<br />"

  "This is our second stay at Izintaba. First time we came,we were at Giraffe Cottage. This time we stayed at Zebra Cottage. Both of them are marvelous.Take time and have a trek by yourself on the property following the map which is well done.Don't forget to book an evening game drive tour with Nikki or Andrew and go outside at night to admire the African sky and listen to the animals.I hope we'll be back soon."

  "An amazing place to visit. The lodge is the most spectacular lodge I have ever seen as are the other lodges where some other members of the party stayed. It was a pity we never had enough time to do some animal viewing and unfortunately never made it to the sunset deck. I was a bit surprised that we were not informed how bad the dirt road was leading up to Izintaba, but once we got there the road was forgotten about. I would love to go back again."

The 4x4 trails and the Sunset Rock were amazing. The rock pool, just what the doctor ordered. Nikki and Andrew and all the staff were fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful time away. My Dutch friends too will take away fond memories. We will be back."

  "De Kudu Lodge is super gelegen met alle privacy, goed gestyled en ingericht. Heerlijke veranda, apart terras met vuurplaats/bbq en zwembadje. De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en hehulpzaam. Op het priveterrein kun je zelf rondrijden en wandelen in alle rust om wild te spotten."

  "Place is SO big we rattled around but the accommodation etc was amazing. No power when we arrived but luckily it came on approx 8.00p.m. Facilities are great pity it was cool and overcast so we didn't use the pool. However it makes walking better. Used the boat at the dam for a while and then more game spotting. Most relaxing weekend. There was lots of talking and laughter, eating and drinking. Early morning bird watching and reading until everyone surfaced."

  "We had a fabulous visit, and were amazed at the privacy of the lodge, being right in the heart of the African bush and so enjoyed the boma every night.We had two young children, 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter and they didn't stop exploring the rocks, the bush walks and the whole environment.Seeing the amazing star constellations at night was awesome.Thank you to Nikki and her team for a truly memorable stay, we'll definitely be back!!"
