  "Very clean with all amenities. Close to the river - I think the summer will be a problem with the mozzies. Also too close to the main road - traffic noise is distracting. Plenty of wild life, not too wild. Baboons and monkeys could be a problem but NO hunting is allowed?? Groans: The person who designed and built the entrance to the pantry should be shot! Just cut away and adjust the steps will solve that problem.! That piece of yellow duct tape does not help at all!Same goes for the pole at the entrance. The spacers should be at the BOTTOM to LIFT the pole idiot!While the above is in place as it is, a HUGE first aid box should be on hand for the head injuries.Otherwise a great place to stay - if they provide candles for the Evkom disaster - and please warn us at least before hand??"

  "This little cottage on a private game reserve was AMAZING! it is tucked away in the bus overlooking a little dam. Stocked with everything one needs for a romantic weekend away! Wow. We walked safely in the middle of the bush, could drive around the reserve on our own. It is a fantastic escape ..I can highly recommend it. We will be going back very soon!"

  "Perfect getaway for 3 or 4 days if you just want to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Solitude is the order of the day - nearest other chalets 10km+.<div>Fantastic accommodation - including hammocks on the veranda and large braai area next to the river.</div><div>One negative - although its a game reserve this is not the place for viewing in a non hi-ride vehicle. Very few roads are accessible to standard sedans </div>"

  "We have been married for 29 years and make a point of it to have a romantic weekend at least once a year. This place has all you need - shady trees, privacy, wildlife, river, quiet walks, no TV, nice fireplace indoors and outdoors, big bed and all the other basic comforts - all put together in a very nice package. I will definitely go again!"

  "River Cottage was our first stop on our trip through northern South Africa and it's a perfect place to come down from the hustle and bustle at work. We stayed there for 3 nights, did walks and hikes in the nature reserve, loved the hammocks, made some braai and lazed the time. Around the cottage we saw a lot of game incl. 2 crocs nearby in the river. Perfect - we really enjoyed it."

  "Whilst we have enjoyed the setting on the bank of the river as well as the peace and tranquility, we were disappointed with the filthy furniture which was totally unacceptable as well as the fact that the cottage was crawling with ants. The above factors spoiled our stay at the cottage hence the reason for leaving three days earlier. We also had extreme difficulty in negotiating the roads on the farm, and resulted in very little game viewing."

Everything was just perfect - the ambiance, nature, quaint little cottage, peace and quiet, game, bird life and running water. And the fact that we could take our three Yorkies with was fantastic!   "There are a number of accommodation options at Jembisa and it covers is about 3000 hectares. There is the beautiful Lodge (catered), that was hosting a wedding when we where there. We stayed in the River Cottage, a secluded self-catering option with near-by rhino. We also stayed in their self-catering Lodge, which was also very good. Thanks to Jane and her team."

  "My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Podica 1.Just apity about the water running out the day before we left.,and the mix up over chalet numbers as other guests arrived and were booked into the same chalet as ourselves.Anyway it sorted it self out in the end .We liked the look and layout of the River Cottage and will probably try for a long weekend stay some time later in the year.Thanks once again you guys for the attention you paid to our enquiry"

  "The welcome was fantastic, the atmosphere tranquil... The animals on the park great... The accommodation is even more beautiful than discribed and shown on the pictures... (Did you notice it is actually IN a park?)It is the perfect place to relax -after long (game) drives and a lot of impressionsWe should have stayed at Jembisa's River cottage longer since it is simply fantastic by itself and there is a lot to see in the park and around there as well. Definitely worth a stay of at least 3 nights!!! Enjoy!!! (Tip: Buy your supplies in Vaalwater before arrival, since it is 30 min. one way or go and eat there, we enjoyed the "Big 5 restaurant")PS Thanks again Albie, you've been wonderful."
