Kuvuki Game Lodge is a stunning self-catering reserve in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere. It offers absolute peace and tranquility in a day when most people never have much time to unwind and peel away the stress of the modern world.
We have three self-catering chalets. One chalet has two bedrooms with a toilet and an open-plan kitchen unit. The other two chalets each have one room with a double bed, two bunk beds in the childrens room, a kitchen and a braai area.
Our lodge allows guests an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate while enjoying the great beauty and splendour that Africa has to offer. As you sit back, you will be pleasantly surprised by a couple of birds as they come close for inspection, or maybe you would just like to watch the many varied species of game to be seen.
The character of the lodge is especially important for us to treat our families to be happy and relaxed around the facilities we offer. Families can enjoy the atmosphere by watching wildlife on the riverbanks from the deck of the lodge. Allow yourself to be rewarded in the lap of luxury with us at Kuvuki Game Lodge.
"Wow, what a great time we had. Hester and Louis are great people and really went out of their way to make our weekend special. Will be back for sure!"
"Dankie baie vir tan Hester en oom Louis. Dit was n uitstekende week gewees en sal weer daar gaan vakansie hou. Mense wat moun oor skottel goed was en bak plek omdat hulle te veel bederf is,bly by die huis laat die bediendes julle bederf. Jy is op die plaas en in die bos. Nie by Sun City se 20 ster hotel nie.Dankie weer eens ant Hester. Julle het n wonderlike plek."
"1. The first we noticed when entering – no double bed as advertised. Hester told us afterwards that SafariNow made a mistake, with their info on the lodge. 2. We tried to unpack our groceries but there was no space so we left it in our container. 3. The meat was next in line to freeze – but the freezer section was very small ( big enough for ice) – it was so small we battled to get our meat in. 4. We wanted to lie down and read – no globes in the bedside lamps. A ‘phone call and this was rectified. Blaming the previous holiday makers for stealing these. 5. The next minute the chalet was swarming with wasps and we found two nests – one my husband managed to exterminate but the other was on the wall directly above our heads. They stayed there for the rest of the time we were there. 6. We wanted to cook food on Friday evening – the crockery, cutlery and pans were extremely dirty and even had cobwebs ( We took photo’s) – We had to wash everything before we could use it. 7. Another problem – there were no glass dishes or salad bowls in the cupboard. Had to keep the food in the pots we cooked it in and dish up from there. We had to eat our salad from a plastic container, which I used to put our sandwiches in for the trip. 8. Late Friday our neighbours arrived – what a shock to find out the chalets were not sound proof !!!! We went to sleep and woke up listening to our neighbours normal conversation. On Sunday morning their alarm woke us at half past five !!!!!!!!!! Hester said her children had told her that the place was not sound proof – well do something about it !! 9. Then there were their dogs. They were barking and yelping through the night and even during the day. 10. We had no service – Hester told us that “self catering “meant the chalets are not serviced. This is a first for us – we have stayed in many places and different countries and have never encountered this before . Rather then say the chalets are not serviced ! We don’t wash dishes at home, so we don’t want to do it over weekends. 11.Our dustbin was so smelly on Saturday and there was no clean refuse bag – we put the dirty dustbin on the stoep. I don’t think anyone can blame us for leaving on Sunday instead of Monday."
"We had a very nice stay at Kuvuki Gamne lodge. It was quiet and we could just relax. The owners, Hester and Louis were very helpful and friendly. A must stay if you want to relax and enjoy nature."
"One of our better experiences. Will recommend the establishment to anyone, anytime."
