La Rive Waterberg Accommodation

La Rive Waterberg Accommodation is a comfortable country-style establishment that is ideally situated in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains, approximately 40 km from Vaalwater. La Rive is on the R517/R510 road, in the Bulgerivier area of the Limpopo Province and is in the centre of the triangle formed by the towns of Vaalwater, Thabazimbi and Lephalale. The west Welgevonden Game Reserve gate is only 16km away and the main gate 22km. The Marekele Nature Reserve gate is less than 30km from us. This area offers plenty of game to be seen, including all of the Big 5. La Rive is also within easy driving distance from the large, scenic Mokolo Dam.La Rive offers accommodation in 10 en-suite bedrooms, all of which feature television sets with Easy View channels. La Rive boasts three lounge and a dining room which seats 40 diners. Guests can relax in the large garden or take a dip in La Rive's beautiful swimming pool. Game drives can also be booked upon prior arrangement.

"Our experience was terrible. There was no signage up, so we rode up and down 5 times. the owner had switched all the lights off. We arrived there at 18.00 only to be met by a very rude and unfriendly owner.<div>The first room they gave us, the toilet was blocked and the TVonly had 1 channel.There were globes missing from the centre light. The second room there was no hot water, no extra blankets. Only a thin comforter on the bed. We took a comforter from the first room.</div><div>The breakfast was shocking for R65-00. They brought brownbread (not toasted), then the tea, then the cooked breakfast, which was bacon and sausages which was over cooked, eggs, sweetcorn and tomato. No sauces.</div><div>The outside looked like a squatter camp, as for the pool is black..</div>"

"I stayed overnight at La Rive Hotel this week, and was extremely impressed with the overall cleanliness and neatness of the bedroom and public areas. Both meals were well prepared and very adequate, as was the service. As an overnight it was excellent value for money, and I will definitely stop over again."
