Kalahari Guest House

Kalahari Guest House is a self-catering guest house situated in Van Zylsrus in the Northern Cape. Van Zylsrus is a small village on the banks of the dry Kuruman River that only sees water after heavy rains. It is on the southern edge of the Kalahari and comprises little more than a few stores, a hotel and a post office.

The guest house sleeps up to 12 guests and is only ever rented to one group at a time, ensuring maximum privacy. The guest house is ideal for larger groups or family getaways and features a fully equipped kitchen, six bedrooms, a large verandah, and a barbecue area. Guests are also more than welcome to come and join in on the farming activities.

A popular stopover for tourists on their way to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Van Zylsrus is surrounded by the rust-red dunes of the Kalahari. The most prosperous game ranches, especially for holidaymakers, are in the immediate area and for biltong-lovers, this is paradise.
