  "Rivertime is by far the most beautiful abode in Velddrif. The potted garden cum patio welcomes you to this stunning cottage. From the time that you step into this exquisite home you realise that no expense has been spared to create the perfect place to forget about the city and any woes you might have. We spent 5 magical nights without a care in the world. Fold away doors , rimless pool and a beautiful deck allows you to take in the tranquil scene of the Berg river and immense birders paradise. The bedrooms are spacious and luxurious. The main bedroom leads onto the deck facing the river and if you feel like soaking in your corner bath tub in the ensuite you can unwind and take in the sights of the river through the window in the bathroom. The entire house is tastefully furnished from the smallest ornament to the stunning paintings created by the owner. Rivertime is truly the perfect place to lose yourself and forget about the fast paced life of the city. The kitchen and scullery are fully equipped and lacks for nothing. However , if you're in the mood for delicious fish , drive into the harbour at Laaiplek which is a mere 5 minute drive away. Stop over at Nossub Fisheries for a hearty inexpensive meal. There are restaurants a short walk from Rivertime which are rather pricey. Melanie was such a gracious and helpful manager. She met us on arrival and made us feel at home immediately in that warm Velddrif manner. Thank you Gregory Higgins for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We shall definitely be back!"

The location is amazing, peaceful and the views are stunning. I can honestly say with all the properties I've traveled to this is the one I can not wait to return to.   "When searching for a place for a weekend getaway all you need is comfort, easy and to get what you expected. This house certainly is peaceful, its on the berg river , but please don't be fooled like I was, there is no jetty to walk on, The House was clean and had almost everything you could ask for. The Braai facilities was not as expected, it is a portable weber but in winter its too cold to braai in a open space. However the kitchen does have a amazing stove and kitchen that is wonderful. Very often when looking for a house the important in number of rooms. So for anyone who wants to know : There is space for 6 people in the house and the 4th bedroom is not attached to the house but does sleep 2. Bedroom Breakdown: x3 bedroom in main house: 1 main room with en suite (shower and bath) , 1 room with King Bed, loft / landing space with x2 single beds, x1 bathroom bathtub only. Attached to the house: 4th room with double bed and shower en suiteOverall the house was peaceful and tranquil. things that annoyed us slightly was that the House was slightly dull. The house does advertise as being pet friendly which is great , they have a dog bed in the dinning room area. Only thing is there is no grass or sand patch for dogs to do there business.I would really recommend Tollies sunset cruise at 5pm, Tollie and his wife are just amazing !!!!"
