De Oude Pastorie Victoria West

This is a charming guest house situated in Victoria West, a peaceful Karoo town on the N12 highway. It is within walking distance to the Apollo Theatre, the only art deco theatre in the country.We offer five guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private entrances. Each room is equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a fan and electric blanks are also available for the cold winter nights.Guests can also relax in the comfortable lounge area with a TV and a fireplace, or enjoy the braai facilities. We serve a delicious Karoo dinner with lamb chops or venison, as well as desert.There is a playground on the premises as well as show poultry, we find that children love it.You can also enjoy some refreshments in our tea garden from the 1st Dec 2016. Safe parking is provided on the premises.De Oude Pastorie was the first residence of the Dutch Reformed Church in Victoria West. The building plans of the church and the residence were accepted on the same night, in September 1846. According to the minutes, the cypress trees in front of the house are even older than the building itself.

Meals :
R150per adult for dinner, including desert and tea/coffee,
R90per adult for a full English breakfast and R90pp for a lunch packet.

"This is a part of history, the oldest house in Victoria West. I had to make this part of my experience. Beautiful old house well equipped and neat. Friendly service and I made the mistake in opting not to eat there , that was a big mistake. The food preparation aroumas were wonderfull and I should have booked our meals right there. I will when I return one day."

"Die oudste gebou in Victoria Wes...<br/><br/>Die diens en kamers is beslis nie die oudste nie. Ons het 'n pragtige en goed toegeruste kamer gehad en is vriendelik verwelkom.<br/><br/>Daar is klein ekstratjies wat dit meer spesiaal maak, heerlike tuisgebakte beskuite, suiglekkertjies, muskietmasjientjie ens.<br/><br/>Ons sal weer daar oornag.
