  "We started our trip in the midst of a very cold spell. From previous experience I know Victoria West is one of the coldest places in South Africa. Previously I stayed in some of the older places, with very high ceilings, which is almost impossible to heat up. With that in mind, I chose Liza's Guest House, the cleverest choice! It is cosy and very well equipped, with heater and electric blankets.<div>Elsa organised a great meal for us, from another guest house, when we found everything closed on Sunday. It was the perfect place to relax after a long trip and after a hot shower, the warm comfortable bed with a mohair blanket beckoned.</div>"

  "By the time we got to Liza's we'd been on the road doing fieldwork for 22 days and we were exhausted. Liza's was exactly what we needed that last night before the journey back to Cape Town.<br />Clean, neat, sweetly "old-fashioned" in a way, which reminded me of my childhood.<br />Liza was most kind and we had a lovely chat before we settled in.<br />The cherry on top was watching about 1,000 Amur falcons and Lesser kestrels circling above us for about an hour before they settled into their roost-tree for the night! All wonderful! We'll definitely visit again."

  "Liza's was very comfy and clean and everything you need for a stop-over. We also had a lock up garage for our car. The fresh milk and rusks are a nice touch. It is self catering, but they did recommend and book a restaurant for us for dinner that evening - very friendly service!"

  "Even though we only stayed for an evening at Lizas we received a very warm welcome by Elsa. It was indeed a pleasure staying there as everything was clean and neat. I would recommend Lizas to anyone and should we ever pass through Victoria West again, we will definitely aim to stay there."

  "Initially we were very impressed with Elsa who phoned us in advance to explain how to enter the flat since she was going to be out on our arrival. When we met her later that evening we agreed that we would check out at 10 am the next morning. However, the next morning there was not enough hot water for us to shower even though my husband only used water to rinse off the soap. I had to shower in cold water and being quite cold and trying to warm up, Elsa came at 20 minutes before 10am to ask if they can come in and strip the bed. This was definitely not very hospitable, and we believe that she is aware of the problem with the hot water. Beware of this if you want to stay at Lizas Guest House."

  "It depends on what you want. Liza's Guest House is not really a guest house or a bed and breakfast or a self catering unit. If it's just a quick stop over for the night it's perfect and clean and warm. Otherwise - Not really value for money if you look at what other towns asked per person per night and what you get for your money."

  "Nice place and very neat and clean. The Safari website worked well and this includes phone conversations and good service. One negative thing is that the signs to Lizas show it as a B&B. It is just a guest house with no breakfast. There are a few good places in Victoria West to eat at anyway so this is not a problem."
