The River Cottage
The River Cottage is a fully self-catering cottage situated on the banks of the Vaal River on the Free State side, just 20 km from Potchefstroom. The cottage offers accommodation ideal for a family or group of up to six.
The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering and boasts all necessary amenities. The unit comprises three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an open-plan living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room includes a TV with full DStv connection and all bedding is provided.
Guests can relax on the patio enjoying a braai and the lovely view of the river. There are also massive grass-covered terraces to enjoy a picnic or simply relax while gazing over the water.

06 May 2018"From the second we stopped at the cottage, the peace and tranquility was what impressed us most. The view of the Vaal river with the beautiful willow trees on the the river bank just took one's breath away. The presence of abundant birds and evidence of plenty of fish playing in the water kept our eyes and attention on the scene in front of us for hours. The cottage itself is beautiful, comfortable and decorated with care. The kitchen is well equipped! We simply loved The River Cottage. The cherry on the cake was the warm reception from the owners that was always available whenever we needed information or assistance with anything. Thanks Dewald :-) The River Cottage is a hidden gem."
