06 January 2017"If you like chicken (the ones for shows; not for eggs or meat), then this is THE place to be. If you look for a B&B on yr way to the Karoo or Namibia, then this is a good one, with eggs for breakfast :-)"

19 September 2014"We spent one night at Hanekraai when passing through. Everything worked fine but the room was a seriously tight fit for two persons and two suitcases. Bathroom OK and refreshment goodies provided. Parking was secure. Breakfast was generous and included in the price. Willemien was pleasant and helpful and keeps exotic chickens - which may be helpful if you've forgotten your alarm clock.Steve's bakery-takeaway is a couple of blocks away and was good for a pizza in the evening."

23 April 2012"Although we had no hot water the night we stayed over, it was a delightful stay. We were offered tea or coffee on arrival and after being on the road for five hours, it was a welcome gesture. Everything was neat and clean and we had everything we needed. We were assured that we could ask for anything we forgot. The following morning we had hot water and the most wonderful breakfast. Our stay was everything we expected and more. Thank you Willemien!"
