  "I booked two evenings for me and my girlfriend, but, unfortunately, when we got there the cottage I booked was already taken. There must have been a miscommunication or something. We were then given a larger room; so we actually gained through this mishap. The room we ended up having was spacious with a full kitchen and a TV with a complete DStv bouquet. The rooms and the bathroom were also kept clean and inviting. The atmosphere of the farm was so calming, and the view of the beautiful hillside really lets one's nerves at ease. It's also close enough to Vryheid if you'd want to quickly go grab something to eat or drink, but far enough that you can appreciate the stillness and tranquillity of the surrounding farmland. All in all I'm a bit disappointed at the double booking, but I am more than happy to go back again. We really had a pleasant stay. If you don't mind the odd rooster giving you a wakeup call, I would recommend this as a wonderful destination."

  "We were really pleasantly surprised by this accommodation. The farm was great for the kids and they encouraged us to help out and see things - involving our children in farm life which they just loved. We fed animals and participated in things. There is a playground and lots of places to explore. The rooms were clean and spacious, even with the 4 beds that we had in it. Petra was a friendly, welcoming host and made things very easy. Highly recommended."

  "This is the place to stay if you dislike noisy towns. Peaceful farm setting, great old historic house, friendly farm animals (wild and domestic) and great hosts. The owners also know a lot about the history of the area, including the historic battles between Zulus, British and white South Africans.<div><br /></div><div>Highly recommended! I will stay there again.</div>"

  "What an experience! Petra and Johan were so friendly and informative about the running of their farm, we even got to experience the milking of the cows! Petra's family home is delightful and steeped in history. Her love for animals is seen throughout the range of farm animals - turkeys, donkeys, ducks, geese, cats, dogs, chickens, cows .... Johan has a real interest in military memorabilia which delighted us as we especially stayed in this area to visit old battle sites. Our lives are richer for staying here. Clean, spacious, modern accommodation - what more do you need? We definitely will go back again!"

Unit was very well equipped, clean and very good value. Louis was great and shared interest in local history with a very knowlegable visit to Nkambule battle site nearbye."
